Oppo Android Rumors

Earlier this week, a report surfaced about the Sony sensors on the upcoming Oppo Find X2. Today’s report brings overlapping information about the cameras, along with details about the display, and a co-processor that works alongside the Snapdragon 865. The report comes from a leakster on Weibo.

The Oppo Find X2 was already reported to feature a 120Hz 6.5-inch display and today’s leak adds to it that the “ultra clear” screen will have a 240Hz touch sampling rate. In addition to the QHD+ resolution (3160 x 1440 px) the display will also feature 80-degree edges, so not quite the waterfall curve we’ve seen on the Huawei Mate 30 Pro.

There’s also word of a new in-house co-processor that will work alongside the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset. The M1 co-processor will help take some power load off the 865 with the 120Hz display and high-resolution to optimize the handset’s battery endurance.

Oppo and Sony have apparently developed the IMX689 together with a 48MP 1/1.3-inch sensor. According to previous reports, it’ll come with a new omni-directional autofocus that is said to supersede dual-pixel autofocus. This will have a secondary IMX708 sensor behind an ultrawide angle lens along with a third 13MP telephoto camera, capable of 5X hybrid optical zoom.

Rumors in the past have indicated support for 50W wireless charging as well, though that's quite a stretch.
