Samsung is readying a new entry in its long-running line of rugged smartphones. We've seen the Galaxy Xcover 5 before, both in various certifications, as well as in some leaks.
The phone should become official at some point this month, and is rumored to retail in Europe for €289 to €299. It will be offered in one color only, the one you can see in the newly leaked renders below, which Samsung calls Graphite Black.
The Xcover 5 is said to sport a 5.3-inch 720x1480 LCD touchscreen, covered with Gorilla Glass 6. The phone will be IP68 water and dust resistant as well as MIL-STD 810G certified for withstanding extreme elements.
It's powered by the Exynos 850 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. Dual-SIMs are supported. On the back you get a 16 MP f/1.8 camera with a LED flash, while on the front there's a 5 MP snapper for selfies. The battery is 3,000 mAh, with support for 15W charging. The Xcover 5 runs Android 11. The handset's dimensions are 147.1 x 71.6 x 9.2 mm, and it weighs 172g.
