Motorola Android

Motorola is launching its 2023 Razr duo on June 1, and we just saw the Razr 40 Ultra, that will reportedly be called Razr+ in some countries, in a full 44-second video ad. It was posted by Evan Blass on his private Twitter profile, and we will share it with you - enjoy the newest foldable in all its glory:

The new smartphone will have a 3.5” cover screen, spanning pretty much from one corner to the other. It will go around the dual cameras and the LED flash in a first of its kind external punch-hole arrangement - these are the biggest holes we’ve seen on a smartphone display. The interface will be designed specifically to utilize the whole space, including custom music widgets, AOD screens, and expanded notification reply features.

Motorola is yet to reveal any specs of the Razr 40 Ultra, but we already heard it will run on Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, which is a pretty capable flagship-tier chipset. The foldable AMOLED will have 1080p resolution, while the cover screen will have 1056 x 1066 pixels. The phone will have up to 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage, a dual SIM variant, as well as one with eSIM capabilities.

The launch is in seven days, where we’ll learn the final details - when the Razr will be available for sale and whether it will surpass the €1,200/£949 price tag set by its predecessor.

You made a very valid point that vertically closing phones make perfect sense when your pockets aren't big enough to fit a regular phone. I mean regular phones that are >=6.9". That's why almost no one makes regular phones larger th...
