This phone SUCKS!!!!! I spent a small fortune on this phone because of all the fantastic features for my husband. He has had the phone for not even 5 months...he can no longer see anything on the screen when the phone rings so you don't know who is calling....it no longer works with the bluetooth receiver....he can no longer use it alone he has to use it with the ear bud otherwise he can't hear anyone and....now there is a HORRIBLE echo....WASTE OF MONEY!!!! I am soooooooooooooooo disappointed with Motorola.
This phone sucks. Died on my in 6 month. From the 1st month of having it I used it with my bluetooth and it would loose signal. This is my 2nd Moto and is my last ever. Motorola don't have good reliable phones.
can anyone send me the a1200 mms settings for cingular, i have been going crazy trying to figure it out. Thank you very much to whom ever can help
This phone DOES support EDGE, but it is not enabled by default. The Motorolafans forums have lots of information about how to mod this phone to enable all sorts of features. I've had mine about a year and it's been great. And yes, the joystick goes in 4 directions and is also a button. Some games and programs don't quite work as intended because of the touch screen though.
No response of Motrorola service center, specially in ahmedabad, even moto shop s.g.highway no response.
Not advised to buy
Yes, this phone is suitable for teen because this phone is really not a business phone, no Edge, no wi fi, not 3g, actually, overall this is a nice phone but the only prob is it has 8 mb built in user memory only but u can add up using the micro sd,ok? word of advice, it's your choice that matters at the end, ok? happy choosing! oh, by the way, from the Philippines too, phone enthusiast.!=>
im planning to buy this fone, i just want to know if the phone is suitable for teens just like me. im really into touch screens phone/PDA. Does the joystick on the Ming allow 4 way navigation or two way i.e. only up down or left and right as well?
Go into SET UP then DATA NETWORK and create a new profile - then go to the browswser and set tmobile as the default profile.
For multimedia messaging go into your message screen -> Service set up -> Multimedia message and enter the settings below.

What is the largest microSD card you can install in the A1200? Motorola site says 1GB, but other sites have mentioned 2GB.
I bought this phone y'day. But memory card came with this phone (512 MB) is not getting recognized. It's showing me status as Unavailable. I tried putting my collegue's 128 MB card and it worked fine. 512 MB card is getting read on my comp and other devices. It's not getting recognized only with my MotoMing. Has anybody faced same problem? Can you please help?
Thanks in advance,
