i had this phone and it almost made me go crazy.
i used my sim card from my nokia on this phone and when i took it out and put it back to my nokia phone again, everything disappeared.

Just my own speculation, this phone is only available in mainland China, with mainland China being one of the few places around the world which uses SIM card for CDMA system.
So for most who only run on GSM frequency would NOT likely to spend such $ for such a phone...where A1600 costs some 60% less with comparable features...and the 60% premium goes to the CDMA capability which most can't utilize.

However, seems like as long as the phone is not "officially" available in Europe, the status would remain...

Motorola A1800, is wonderful Model. I hope Motorola company design some models like A1800 with higher quality of camera.
Unfortunately, it`s a long time that this model is in Coming soon situation!!!

Anonymous, 11 Feb 2009is a1800 dual sim card ??? anyone know ?? A1800 supports 2 slots, one for CDMA and one for GSM.
You "cannot" put 2 GSM cards in the phone and expect both lines work at the same time.
