I ordered my handset today, hoping it arrives in de next few days really looking forward to it.... I just read the gsmarena review and am horrified to discover that this phone doesnt support file transfer via bluetooth! This cannot be true! Can anyone confirm??? How are me and my friends supposed to swap our naughty pics? hahaha jk. Seriously tho, my pc is bluetooth enabled n i love transfering stuff back n forth without hooking up cables.

That's my experience from Milestone.

- as an existing AT&T customer
- as a non-customer of AT&T
If so, what are the prices? Would the handset be "lcoked" to be used thru AT&T only?
Appreciate your reply, thanks.
(apparently I'm not in US right now but will be there in a few months)

In US, the non-committment price from AT&T is US$350, and US$500 from Best Buy.
And one can get a Motorola Milestone (which I'm using) for around US$537 in Hong Kong.
So the pricetag in China for Backflip is relatively quite expensive. (certainly agree Chinese are the ones with $$$ nowadays)
I'll wait for my next trip to US in July to get either Backflip or Dext, (not sure if I can get Dext unlocked and if supports global 3G)
This android phone just came to Chinese market several months ago. I bough it last week and here is my experience of this phone.
Fast as you expected. Most of app you click on the icon then it goes up in a second. Send email, browse internet or play games without delay. And it is stable, I just sometimes encounter the app hang by connect issue. After a while, it resumed and never down in the past week.
Very good at touch, phone call and keyboard typing. I don't need multi-touch on the screen but a physical keyboard is much efficient. And I found that backflip can provide you a different angle of screen view, good function.
Very clean and sharp, good quality. I just hope it can be good for read as blackberry bold under the sunlight.
Good performance, it can last at least two day even you use internet and phone call a lot. I think if Moto provides a 1800m battery then this phone will be replacement of your laptop.
This phone is not cheap but OK for the price compare to other android smartphone in China.
Not expensive and you sure will fall in love with it.
...moto backflip is upsolutely awesome, once you try it..you won't stop exploring..so grab it once you have it..
I love this phone. The first week owning it, I didnt touch my house laptop once. Its like carrying a computer in your pocket. Its smart, fast, and fun... I recomend that everyone go and get thereself one of there own.... Way to go Moto
my wife have this and shes very satisfied with its functions and very professional design, i think she paid $120 for a 2 year contract on AT & T its a nice phone its worth it way to go moto good job!!
this phone is what i'd call a true world phone. great job moto. it support quad bands 2g and quad bands 3g that in the u.s. both att and t-mo can use it on their 3g network. it's very nice as far as size and finish. i've been playing with the demo unit and like it, but i wouldn't buy it b/c of the backflip style. if it's a reg sliding unit, then i'd get it despite it's not 2.1 os. i like the motoblur service a lot. i have the cliq which i didn't really like b/c of the 3 hard buttons. but for this one, it's almost perfect except it's a backflip.
Are we able to create a Motoblur account if we unlocked the phone and not use it on AT&T?
Anonymous, 11 Apr 2010only the front of the phone looks like a iphone 3gs but i very like back of this phone .very nice design keyboard
this is very same to the imate jasjar which was available about 5 years ago. nothing much attractive for me
