i bought the c139 for a very low price with the double minute feature which is a really great deal. if you have to patience to read the instructions youd be amazed at how you can set the alarm and turn the volume up when in a call. this si a very good phone. i a agree cameras should be used for taking pictures and phones for taking and making calls. good job motorola for keeping it affordable and simple. stop being lazy and read the manual...
i have a question for people who have had a phone like this for a while??? Can you get ringtones on it and can people send u pictures on it???
I got this phone for my son and he wanted since he was 12 so on 13th bday I got him this phone he said he would work hard to pay for it and he has any mother who doesn't want a child on theyre plan to take up all the mins get this phone! GREAT FOR TEENs and young adults.
I got this phone on Christmas in 2006. I don't really like it all that much, because there is no camera, no way to download new ringtones, it's not a flip phone, and it's way too small. Plus, the battery life was never up to par with what Motorola said it was. It lasts maybe 6 or 7 days instead of the said 18. But yeah, if you like it, go for it.
Redial, dialing received calls and previously placed calls require too many steps. I had a Nokia that made this simple. I find myself pressing buttons all over the phone. The screen is too dark to read with out the back light. The volume during a call is too low.
best simplest phone ever! Battery life is excellent, plus the games on it (football, pong, and maze) are actually very entertaining. GET THIS PHONE!!!
The motorola c139 was the first phone i ever had. i like it because its not one of those phones that have so much stuff in them, but then u cant find the clock. it has just enough accessories on it. A great first time phone for anybody..
it's cool phone for ever, battery life amazing i love it.
thanking you moto...
o my gooodness! this pkone rox
i got it 4 10 bucks at family dollar and its worth way more than that! this christmas im gettin my friend it for her first phone! bt the way u r supposed to press up for upper case(at least thats what i do). lov it!
Can anyone tell me how to stop this phone from returning to factory default... I really hate to setup my settings 2-3 times a month!!!
mine doesnt vibrate when it is suppose to and i cant get the auto answer to work.
Very good phone =) Previous poster doesn't know what he's talking about. Good phone, does what is wanted. Has an alarm clock !! I use it every day =)
PS: [to Duval] press the "up" arrow to capitalize current letter
PPS: I used to have a Motorola v330, and this phone is much better: 1. the price coparison ! it's a PHONE for a price of a MEAL !! no other phone beats that. 2. has only the features that a phone needs and that a phone of this size CAN do. Believe me, unless you are getting an iPhone, you won't be able to browse the web or check email comfortably on your phone (320x240, which most phones offer, isn't enough) (Yes, I used T-Mobile Web on v330 and I tried iPhone... in case of non-iPhone phones, you get less than what you pay for.. not to say that I'll EVER buy an iPhone or that I like Apple =) As for the camera - the thought of using the camera in the phones for taking pictures is horrifying, especially in the phones in sub-$100 range. It's fun to take a shot and send it in an SMS... for the first time you try it, most people won't ever use it (not even need it). Cameras are for taking pictures, and good quality/zoom often means bigger lens, which cell phones cannot offer. Think of that.
PPPS: read "Smarter than the res"' comment... it's true =)
I think the phone is awesome because it just does what I need it to do.
Just one question: how do you CAPITALIZE the letters like when entering a text message or entering a contact in the phone book?
nice phone with all the basic stuff you need.I payed 30€ and is defenetly worth it! Long battery time and nice talk quality. Motorola has done a good job!Bravo
great phone, the best battery life i've ever seen of any phone. If your the kind of person that wants a high tech phone with a camera mp3 player ect this is not for you. But if you just need well a phone, then the motorola c139 is for you, plus it only costs $15 at walmart!
