this defy plus is a nice phone when you are leaving on a water world. yeah, the only thing bad about xperia phone like neo/neo v is only the physical buttons.

Maybe you are a defy user that's why your too protective about your cheap phone. Do some research first before commenting against any other brands such as sony xperia Neo which got too many votes from XDA forum against Defy+. by the way Neo have 3.7 inches and not "3.3" and also Bravia engine got brighter screen than any other phone and also include the dragontrail protection just like the corning gorilla of defy+.
Someone wants to invest huge bucks in FURNACE then go for neo v causing high overheating problems.
Samsung's i8150/Galaxy W costs 15% less (in Brazil) and have better specs than this phone. Looks like Motorola's still living in 1997 when everybody would buy a handset from them only because it said "MOTOROLA" somewhere on the carcass. I thought the Google merge would somewhat change this, but I guess not.
Samsung's maybe doing so well with their Galaxy SIIs and Notes they don't even bother to market their mid-range phones.
in india defy+ much cheaper than neo.neo is execeptional poor design addition of small 3.3 inches screen and bravia engine which got no use at all. n Its advisible to buy defy+ but pls check some good reviews of defy+ indepth review vids of defy to get knowing abt it reboots or not or sm users just gasping air.it is a worthy device good luck
Defy+ spec suits best for me, but the rebooting issue annoys me. Is it advisable to buy Defy+?

Too many issues, rebooting, battery, no upgrade for ICS, Motorola team will just leave this phone behind. They announce that this phone will not have an ICS upgrade ever! Only few updates! No upgrade = No Enhancement, no future! Few developers create ICS but are you satisfied with that? Unlocking your phone, rooting, etc. which is really not your job and those upgrade are only trial and error for a neverending bugs! REALLY AN EPIC FAIL!!!
help, 31 Mar 2012What should i get motorola defy+ or sony ericsson xperia neo??And is defy+ getting android 4.0... moreIf you want ics, and less buggy software, then get the Neo, Defy Plus will not be getting an official taste of ics. I found a lot of hd games (especialy ones from gameloft) could not be downloaded from the android market as they were not compatable with the Defy Plus. Apart from Asphalt 5 the others I tried would not work.
Jagan, 30 Mar 2012i read in some review that Defy+ is getting rebooted frequently. does anyone face the same issue ?Yes, rebooting issue is on mine (wife owns it now). Although I can find that it would reboot a couple of time within 48 hours, then it could go nearly a week without rebooting. Even after the latest update, this is still happening.
Sometimes it would happen while the phone is in standby and other times while I would be using it. No logical explenation, phone just randomly reboots.

I bought my Defy+ a month ago and I am tired of this phone now. It keeps rebooting when the internet is on. I showed it to the service center, they reinstalled Android and still its happening. Can anyone here tell me what to do about it?
i read in some review that Defy+ is getting rebooted frequently. does anyone face the same issue ?
Been using my Defy Plus for about a month now and I am pretty satisfied about it's performance. I've even dunked it in an aquarium and took a video of the fish underwater. It's actually the sole purpose for buying it.
The only issue I have with it is that the battery seems loose inside the unit and you can actually hear and feel it rattling inside.
