A quick question to Defy+ users : can this rugged beast snaps a picture when submerging into water? SE Xperia active can do as such knowing that they have shutter button. Thanks.
awesome phone in the market by motorola!
best deal! What else can u ask for! great display, decent photo, high quality sound!,minimalist and user-friendly UI,updated os version,...etc,AND affordable price!, water resistant and dust proof are just consolations I think...i
Perfect pick for price but browsing internet drains battery very soon. Only checking updates on internet would last for a day or two.
It had social widget which is just awesome and of-course the Moto UI.
I'm not able to delete MotoBlur twitter account even after revoking access from twitter account ... a real headache ...
Last but not least the IP67 certification.. scratch, dust and water proof ..
I voted 10!
Super phone. This time Motorola made the BEST!

Woops. You can bring up a menu by long holding on the message (can't find that in the manual though) and choosing to 'Resend unsent messages' (um oxymoron).
Did not work the other day when I was attempting to do so on three messages but I stand corrected the standard SMS functionality can resend.
Still not using default message system now as there is no carriage returns in SMS and there is no option to preview more of the message by removing the grey heads.
Defyer, 07 Jan 2012You CAN resend a text message that fails to send. All you gotta do is touch and HOLD that mess... moreI CAN NOT. I tried things like holding the message and there was no option to resend.
I will check the manual again though.
just got it few days back.loving every moment of it.was installed with GB2.3.4, OTA 2.3.6 immediately then ROOTED it.wohaaa...app memory for user abt 1.1GB out of the box.signal strength great!!voice quality GREAT!size of mobile, just fit nicely in my Asian hand.Weight is light enough to carry on my trouser pocket.Value for money...rumours it be getting ICS..praying..praying...
i hav bought this phone one month back....its really good...battery backup was the thing for which i was confused...but after use i found it lasting for 2 days easily after playing games for 2-3 hours per day along with surfing and other daily tasks.......m enjoying it....
which phone is better defy+ or sony Ericsson neo v???
am really confused and the main thing that concerns me is the heating problem in neo v but at the same time neo v has btr ui,bttr camera, front camera...

bought this phone in India, hyderabad for Rs.16700..M loving it..but m really not satisfied with the battery backup. The only reason I chose Defy+ over defy was the bigger battery, only to find that this is also not enough. The battery is totally drained at the end of the day, with 15-25 calls,2-3 hours wifi,1 hr music and a few messages. That's it. I don't even use 3G and other sim based internet services.
DanBal76, 06 Jan 2012Great phone, but lets be honest, Defy+ is nothing more than a regular Defy. The CPU between th... moreI don't think it is any secret that it is the same hardware apart from the battery.
Note that if you put a Defy ROM on a Defy+ then the battery does not fully charge. only a few ROMs for the Defy+ at the moment.
I think of the Defy+ as just being the spec that the Defy should have been in the first place (with a faster processor). The larger battery obviously allows for the over clocking.
Im just hesitating between Nokia 701 and Defy+....
What do you recommend for me, which one is the better choice? Thanks for your answers!
One more question: Is it true that Defy+ hasnt a numeric keyboard when you are typing a message?
have got it 4 days back, this is a gem of phone.i havent tested for it ruggedness and will not test it intentionally.
i wish motorola brings ICS android 4.0 on this set,but motorola is the company who doesnt care about its existing customers.
i pray that this device upgrades to 4.0.
