Totti, 12 Feb 2011 Text reflow isn’t available in web browser, is this Because of android 2.1??? In 2.2 will... moreThis feature is listed in the website, but Motorola people say that this is expected to be released in Froyo upgrade only.
Been using it for a week now. At times the phones stops responding in spite of running a 800Mhz processor. Press the camera icon and it takes a while to activate the camera. Picture quality is good.
Users planning to buy one should be ready to wait for a long time to get OS upgrades. By the time Motorola release GingerBread for Defy, the OS would be years old in other smart phones.
Battery stands hardly for a day with no data connection and GPS. Its a normal behaviour for an Android 2.1.If you play games, be ready to charge it within an hr.
I wanted Galaxy S, but when I red some arts about "high temperature" after 10 minutes of talking, or "draining battery like crazy" and "cheap, thin plastic", and yet "laggy interface, often black screen for 5-10 seconds". I would rather buy Defy.
Every phone made by Samsung is strange. No stability, hot, cheap or bad software. I can't trust them.
Text reflow isn’t available in web browser, is this Because of android 2.1??? In 2.2 will work???
I have seen in other android phones that there is a (microphone)virtual button that you can tap
To dictate a SMS to the device. Is that option in this device???
Will that be in android 2.2 if I update???
I will be thankful if someone can help. Thank you!

Hi, I'm really in a tough spot right now, I must choose between SE xperia x10 and this phone, as I am an SE fan a really am looking for a reason to buy the xperia but it's not so easy beacause this phone is great. so please give me at least 3 reasons that I shouldn't buy this phone and buy the SE, knowing that in a short time the magnificant ARC is coming and the X10 will be outdated. btw I am a teenager and I will use this phone for: pictures, internet, music and gaming. please give me some good reasons, thanks.
Hi this is a very god phone like water resistant good battery fast processar 3gmobile hotspot good camera
It would be great if every phone with "scratch-resistant" display had that expression in the specs, so if one searches for that expression, all of them would be listed. like iphone 4 and some others. Thanks.
the defy has many flaws not to mention the ear piece speaker failing only months after buying new, 3 out of ever 5 defies are haveing this problem. the screens are inferior to other devices and have also been flawed, they arent water proof thay are water resistant dont be fooled.
i have a question about froyo update.
yes it will be updated in Q2 2011: europe, middle east, asia, and US is catching up later.
but what defy version which gonna get froyo? just defy with motoblur or defy without motoblur? or both of them..?
i concern about this because in indonesia it will be released without motoblur.
xelebryo, 08 Feb 2011Hi guys. Could any owner of Defy tell us about the battery life? I used to be a WinMo fan but ... more1.No Motoblur in Cosmote, Germanos and Internity until now. They sell the Asian / Jordanian version (see Motorola site for specifications and owner guide). Battery life depens on the data traffic. You can find motoblur on some internet offers. 2. With no data traffic and just phone the battery life is- 2-3 days.
i want to buy an android device and confused between motorola defy , galaxy ace(cooper) . i trust samsung , the comany and defy , the product . defy has old 2.1 , relatively poor battery life but great screen size and resolution to compensate . it has android 2.1 but internal memory of 2gb to compensate . samsung has experience and more succesful technology in android phones . ace is cheaper too . one thing i hate about 2.1 android is that u cant disconnect phone using power button .i would be obliged if anyone can tell me an appliation that can make it happen. i am a heavy net user, can defy run a full day with heavy use .help
hi. i just bougt a moto defy and it's the best phone i ever had. i am a nokia fan but i wos bored of symbian so i got an android phone. the defy is great but the battery life is short, about a day of normal use (e-mail, messenger, and about an hour of calls), not the best (on my nokia 5800 i used to get 5 days of battery life). the disply is great, no lag what so ever, and motoblur is great with 7 home-screens, which are fully customisable. The other thing i hate about motorola is that there is no romania on their map, i tried to make an acount on their website but the country is mandatory on their acount form but ther's no romania. And becouse of that i'm worried that i won't get the froyo update.
