Please help me how I can install Arabic fonts on my phone .
When can we expect GSMArena's review? It has been a while since it was announced, I can't wait...
I was wondering how did it pass on audiolab tests? No other website gives that information, and that's vital for me since I want this phone as a rugged music device.
fantastic phone in almost every way except its god some pretty serious wifi problems as the phone cannot keep connection with a variey of router ypes. This has been acknowleged as is said to be something they are working on a software update to sort:
I guess the long and the short of the phone is - do you need the rugged aspect of the phone? If you don't then there are better phones out there for more money. That's the key I think - more money. But, this phone doesn't seem to be a slouch at all... and it can stand up to the environment. So you have to ask yourself if the key features are important enough to you. If you work outside or do a lot of outdoor activities then I don't think you can go wrong with this phone at all. Does it get the 10 hardware score of the top of the line phones? Nope, but it's not terribly far behind and it's half the price when you compare subsidy costs. In my case the phone cost me $100 with a two year contract. My Zn5 was $200 with a two year contract. This phone crushes the media/social networking/ internet capabilities of the zn5. I don't think you can go wrong for $100 with this phone. I'm very happy with this phone.
moving zen, 01 Dec 2010I've had the phone for almost a month now... got it the day it came out. I don't have much to... moreThat is really good, let us see If I give a thought of having one... I have already been using Nexus one almost 9 months now... Looking for better alternative.. Nexus one is one of the most amazing phones that mobile industry has ever seen.... I know DEFY could not be better alternative.. But at its budget and other rugged stuff, it has really stolen a big score... Otherwise, I may wait for Olympus which is expected to be launched in January.. I actually would like to go for rumored Nexus S with Gingerbread. But having it from Samsung, I cannot bare it... Samsung always sucks, I never like it as a mobile phone...
Well, let's see... thanks for ur feedback.. Happy Defying... :-))
When It is going to be available in India ?
This phone looks very impressive and has all good features :)
is the black n white version sold exclusively for T-Mobile? hope it'll be available outside US..
Naga, 30 Nov 2010Hey, Can anyone tell me how is Defy's performance???
Thanks in advance,
NagaI've had the phone for almost a month now... got it the day it came out. I don't have much to compare it's performance to because my last phone wasn't an android. My last phone was a Motorola Motozine ZN5 and this phone stomps it except for the camera. If I had any complaint about this phone it would be the camera/flash. The flash is led and imo very weak. The ZN5 had a xenon flash that rocked. I'm looking into some of the other camera apps in the hopes that the problem is software related. Other than that I absolutely love this phone. It runs very well and handles everything I throw at it. Battery life is pretty good. Certainly better than my ZN5 and that phone didn't do anything compared to what this phone does. I do have to charge it every night. If I work the phone hard with music and apps I sometimes have to throw it on my car charger when I leave work. However, I don't consider myself a power user... maybe midrange. If you have a lot of experience with android then you are used to the wow factor of an android phone.. but I've been wowed by this phone.
This afternoon I listened to music while standing in the rain fishing. No rain jacket on so I got wet. Caught a nice bass, pulled the pone out and took a picture then uploaded it to facebook. Rain steady falling on the phone and I was not scared at all. I wouldn't jump in the water with my headphone plugged in but water was beading on the screen and running off and I had no problem.
I'm really impressed with this phone. It does everything I need it to do and probably more.
Typing this on my defy now.
So imressed with it. For the price I was expecting more of a mid range phone, but it's blown me away. It's built like a tank but still looks and feels stylish and light in the hand. Gorgeous screen very high res. The phone has a 3.7" screen, but somehow feels more compact.
Performance has far exceeded my expectations, 3d games such as asphalt 5 run beautifully with not a hint of lag. Did you know the phone benchmarks higher than the galaxy s? Browsing is smooth too.
Music sounds great to me, video playback is stunning. Photo's are ok but obviously not the best. Also pinch to zoom in the gallery seems slow compared to my dads htc desire.
Oh and I love swype lol. Well done moto, can't believe you gave us a phone like this for such a good price. I just wanted a decent android phone I wouldn't have to keep in a pouch and the defy is a dream come true.
