Hi Everyone...I am planning to buy a good featured mobile phone.
I am stuck between Samsung Wave 2 and Motorola DEFY...Both the mobiles are very good on paper with
their features displayed. I request the users of Samsung Wave2 and Motorola DEFY help me in choosing
the best mobile by sharing your experiences about your mobile phone and help me buy a good mobile.
I want to know about the following things:
1. Battery Life
2. Signal Reception
3. Music and Video (I mean what formats the mobile can play and about clarity in ear peice and
speaker, and clarity of videos played)
4. Camera (how are the pics taken in bright light and in dark using flash, and videos captured)
5. Can we install apps from websites like Getjar, Mobile9, Umnet, ZEDGE etc...
6. How is the touch screen, and keypad on screen for typing.
7. It would be good if I can check my mails also..I mean all my gmail and yahoo mail ect...
Please give me even more details on anything which I may have forgotten to ask, if you wish to, like about
do we have good customer care support etc..
Waiting for you guys to help me out in buying a new Mobile...and this will be my first High End Mobile :-)

If you heavily use t... moreTurn off your GPRS when you don't need it and it'll save you loads of battery life - if you're living in India, data signal will be pretty bad hence the antenna works more. Lol, screen is dull ... use a preferred brightness setting ffs! Lol galaxy 3 is way more expensive that the Defy. Don't buy technology that doesn't suit the infrastructure.
helpdefy, 20 Feb 2011can any user of motorola defy please tell me what does the red blinking light on the top-left ... moreNormally, that would be your battery life. Of course, we're guessing here and adding more info might help us diagnose the reason for the red blinking light.

Rupesh, 20 Feb 2011I bought the DEFY 2 weeks ago. After one week the phone started hanging very often. Even dur... moreI have been using my Defy for around seven weeks and for me it has not lagged, also the camera is far better than a Nokia 2 mp cam, to tell the truth i have set Defy cam and have taken some good photos and also some good macro shots that are fabulous.
So far the Defy for me has been an excellent set in every way and i can not complain.
With every manufacturer handset it is only natural that is sometimes a faulty unit amoungst the good, its the same with people and that is the way this life is as nothing perfect on Earth yet
So after noticing the dead pixel, i managed to get an exchange with motorola dealer here in Dubai. I got a brand new defy yesterday.. This time unlike the previous old defy, the phone is not asking me for any setup application like email, date, time etc in the first start up... I believe they have changed the whole starting procedure in the newly launching defy.... I found some new additions in the menu as well...... Can any one confirm it from motorola.... Keeping my fingers crossed for my defy...
Adi, 20 Feb 2011IS this device upgardable to android 2.3?I wouldn't count on 2.3 (Gingerbread) upgrade. The rumor for 2.2 (Froyo) is Q1 of this year. Gingerbread is going to be more geared toward 4G phones.
