wish it had a 16m color display!!! like the motoroi....it would be the best phone ever with that & a xenon flash (again like the motoroi).....any idea if the 16m colors would still be a possibility?

used the droid... its cool in all the sense.........
but this one here rumoured to be 9mm thick is far more sexier than any other phone in the world till date, especially with p video recording. Iphone can be killed by this baby.

Korea used to have tough laws regarding what phone company can make and sell in the country. Basically, the government allowed the home companies like LG and Samsung (then there are Korea-only brands like SKY and other what-nots) and they got really, really advanced in Korea. The companies basically weren't encouraged to use Symbian, WiMo etc etc OSes (ie smartphones) and alas you rarely see smartphones here.

...Until RECENTLY the government decided to free-up some frequency to allow a SIM-based network... Being a Korean immigrant in New Zealand, and being in Korea for a long overdue trip, I've brought my W980 along and it catches a GSM network. Hmm... Korea only used to have WCDMA running the EVDO standard only 5 or so years back... They still do, just that there is a GSM network now.

Korea released the iPhone 3GS a year or so late than the rest of the world, and now Western companies see Korea as the perfect start point of selling their newest and greatest phone. I mean, it's a market saturated desperate for other brands.

Being in Korea, I've seen Nokia 5800 ads at the local subway (again, a year late), and have even noticed Sony Ericsson selling the X1 here (a few years late that).

I mean, it's great since it allows for more competition, but then it seems the competition was greater with just 3 or 4 local companies than the brands from all across the globe trying to take a pitch.

This Moto for example. The latest example of a smartphone after the X1 and iPhone. Would love to see how things turn out here...

Anonymous, 19 Jan 2010does anyone noticed that it seems like a photoshop of nokia X6, nokia 6790 and nokia N97??? ... moreYes, you are the only one that see that ... i mean:

>> X6 screen ? Why, becouse is RED ?
>> 6790 size ??? Do you know the official size ... Man, 6790 have a 2.4" screen, this will have at least 3" screen, also, 850 x 484 of Moto is way bigger than 320x240 of Nokia ...
>> N97 keyboard ... LOL, are you blind ? N97 have the D-Pad on left and only 3 rows of buttons....

U are a really big Nokia fan if you had seen aspects .

This phone is amazigly beautiful. I am a SE fan and have been waiting fro the X10 for a while now but i would pick this over the X10 anyday especially if it comes out around the sametime as the SE X10. Well done moto.

I WANTS IT!

Nexus One looks too much like all the other HTC handsets out there....this (even though it looks like a 'Milestone/Droid' on a diet) is sexy!
