To Rajesh-I suggest you go to www.howardforums.com and search for the instructions on flashing in there. There are a lot of threads about flashing in there.

To Motofan-As of now, I don't think there is a way to do that. Not yet sure about 97R.

To Bogdan-Get PST to enable Java App loader...try www.howardforums.com for more instructions.

To Robert-you can do it by yourself or if you wanna do it legally, go to a service center.

To Smooth-your battery's fine. Don't know about the bset flash/flex combination as I'm still happy with my 34R. Can you get ringtones there (MotoZone) even if you don't ask buy anything from them?

To Rajesh-try going to your service center...I don't know anyone who has experinced that problem.

To NightStalker-When your transferring files, click the appropriate tab on the upper part of the multimedia studio, so when you're transferring pics, click the pictures tab. When you're transferring mp3s, click the music tab. Otherwise, you won't see the file.

To Noel-Change the flex...that's the only way to store SMS on the phone.

To Arun-the Sounds folder is the right folder for your mp3s. They will appear on the sounds menu after transferring them.

i tried to connect y new E398 with the usb cable, but all i get it's a list of empty directories. it seems i can upload files where i want, but the phone doesn't see any mp3.jpg.whateveris using the "multimedia" section.

to ^-^x: as you can see, i don't want to do it myself. it'll be a whole lotta better if i'd let it be done at the service center or somwhere "legal" (if you get what i mean). anyway, thank's for the advice!
to cru3l: thank's for the reply. i actually went at digital exchange, and they are doing the "flashing " thing for free. although, you should've bought your phone at authorized dealers, coz you'll need to show them the receipt. i think i'll have mine flashed sometime this week. *;)

I have got typical problem, the phone has gone dead. Only, white light on key pad is blinking. Even screen is not getting on. Any friend, if you have encountered such type of problem or any one has got the solution, please help me. I'm worried that i may loose such a nice and beautiful phone.

BTW, I did bring my phone to the MOTOROLA shop at the Digital Exchange once and the IT reformatted my TFlash because it did not want to accept any files. As a bonus, he gave me some cool ringtones, all for free. You just can't forward any pre-installed or Motorola installed tunes and pics to others but you can if you did the downloading yourself. The

to anyone out there, I hope you can settle this issue regarding battery charging. When I got my phone through Globe here in Alabang, the lady said that I can just charge the new battery till the charge is complete, which took around 5 hours initially but I did notice that the juice ran out after a day of playing around and setting up my phone. On a whim, I passed by the Memo express, a service center of Motorola, (which also owns the Moto shop in Quad) and inquired. The lady there said that I should have charged it for 14 hours straight. My battery runs out after an average of 2 days now after I followed her suggestion. Is my battery OK? My second question is: What is the best combination for Flex/Flash? I read in a forum somewhere that it is 7F/95R. So what is the best for 97R now that it is available here in Manila?

Hey, just wondering if u can choose to view the phonebook like those Nokia handsets. As in, can you choose to view the all contacts in the phone only, or the sim card only? And, is the firmware 97R confirmed?

To Dia-actually, no...you will lose the capability to use the transflash card (you'll be limited to the phone memory which is roughly 5 MB) because the flash (firmware)where the video player is enabled is from the V620.

To Francesco-the silver one looks good, but the red and white one looks a lot better...isn't there any store that sells the white and red version in there?

To Mac-it plays videos in .3gp format.

                                    what is your flex version?
