Why do I have a damn creaking battery cover?? I hate the stupid sound whenever I press buttons on the phone! Does anybody has this problem too? Regreted buying this phone. :(

heres one way to have free wallpaper and cool graphics for your e398: go either to animation factory.com or to best animations.com and download all the cool wall papers screen savers you want! an easy way to do this would be to right click on the desired image and save them on your pc. afterwards upload these images into your phone through the supplied software and usb! the phone can display all screen savers like a powerpoint presentation! have fun folks!

lol, 16 mb trans flash cards dont exist ! or at least i never heard of them

To gysa - you may need to updgrade your software...seems some problem with s/w. E398 accepts .3gp files as video. It does not play AVI files.

i just got my e398 a week ago. its a great phone. however, when i opened the box i was givin 16mb memory card instead of 64. did any one else have this problem? im having problems putting videos on the phone too. i think they have to be in avi format but it hasnt worked yet or i cant find the file when i look on the phone. another downside is my headset. it looks nice but is flimsy. its really sensitive and will switch between the headset n speakers when touched.

I newly own the phone (nov 4 2004) and already got problems with the phone. camera always "BUSY, TRY LATER" and one some menus phone always backs itself up to previous menu when I choose "SELECT/CHANGE". maybe the problem is linked but overall, I love the phone. it's great & much better than my old nokia 3390!

CAN SOME ONE HELP ME IN RECORDING FORMAT WHICH DISPLAYS FULL SCREEN VIDEOS ON E398 ALONG WITH SOUND
the way i am recording video is 1/5th size of the screen and the audio finishes before the video clip ends THANKS waiting for solutuion

Damn,now Motorola E680 is coming out soon.Now I have more headaches on which phones to choose from Motorola.Motorola is certainly kickin some fine Nokia,SE and Siemens asses in terms in offering superb features.Nokia's market is on a decline wohoo!Some assclowns still prefer the over-priced and featureless Nokia phones.
So my question is,since the Motorola E680 hasnt been released yet (except in China,Hong Kong i think),what do you think will the price be in Singapore?I know this is a thread about the E398,but im not sure which one to buy.Someone enlighten me please :)

well anybody out there who can help me..well i tried to download java games to my phone using the trans card..but apparently the phone can't detect it. heard from the personnel at the svs centre that not all games are compatible with motorola phones.so anibody has a website that provides compatible java games to motorola phone? thanx..

To louise,
Try this, if your phone is with firmware 95R or later, go to Menu -> Settings -> Connections -> USB Settings and change *Default Connection : to Data/Fax Connection.
Then your phone will be detected as a modem by your computer :) if u still have problems, try calling up Motorola Service Center...

I bought the phone at S$ 268 at a promotion when it was S$298 with 2 year contract (M1) about 1 mth ago...Now it should be around S$250...
You can always call up the service provider to ask...

I'm having a major problem and really need help. I have installed phonetools but when i try to connect my mobile it says its not connectred and when i try it still won't work! I've also got a message a few times that says insert sim card into modem! Please help its stressing me out now i've tried hundreds of times! :(

-MMS works great...supports slides (although there is a 100 kb limit as with all phones).
Definitely worth the money!

I wanted to buy this phone..but its SMS storage capacity is too low..also, how is its MMS capability?the MP3 player rocks...but on the whole is it worth the money??
