got this cell but has a fualt with the display, and the dealers are telling me u cant get this spare part anywhere in africa apart from south africa. woow, is this real????

Just got an e398 & mod it to a e1 rokr! Now can't live w/out it. But have one question currently I'm still using the transflash card that came w the cellphone w/c is 64mb. I'm planning to buy bigger removal memory & considering to buy a 1gb transflash. & question is that e398 can read a 1gb transflash card?

E398 by far is the loudest if you were to make comparisons with its speakers. Very loud especially if you would tweak with its gain table.bin. Unfortunately, the downside is that it would practically vibrate the whole phone up to an annoying point.

I think it's a great phone but i don't understand a thing: it is true that u can't upload to the rockr more than 100mp3's? today i bought an 512MB trans flash and i loaded it with more than 200 tracks, and i still have space left on the card... and it really plays them....

Its a brick! The painstaking way to transfer mp3, pics and other stuff is via it's USB cable. The fastest way is to get a USB card reader, the downside is that you just have to take out its T-Flash everytime you do that. It's earpieces are cr** even though I adjusted its gain table.bin to the max. No useful firmwares out there for me and changing skins craps me off. I would be disposing this piece of s*** as soon as possible.

Owned one, hate it. Worthless.
You can't use 1 gb microsd transflash, you can't find windows 98se drivers to work it as a flash drive. Crappy sound, hard to find earphone as the plugs are smaller, crappy camera quality, no video capability. You can't even get the mp3's to play conscecutatively. I can't even charge this phone without something going wrong because they made the charging part real flimsy. Don't waste your money.

hiiiiiiiiii frd's iam using E398 mobile since 6 months , and i have converted it to ROKR E1 , seriously awesome phone , iam giving the url from which u can download the pst motorola soft which is very hard to find http://rapidshare.de/files/16106040/Motorola_PST_7.2.zip.html

This is the greatest phone ever created.For those of you who complain about it...go hang yourselfs.All you need to do is upgrade the firmware.I hated it when i bought it.Now i love it more than anything.
