I have had my E398 about 5 or 6 months and I am very pleased with it. The sound for the mp3 files is excellent. This phone is very user friendly and a nice design aswell. It's a shame there isn't a flip design and a radio aswell.

u mean by L7, Motorola SLVR L7? f dat's the case, then try 2 compare it w/ the other fone u like (E398).. although i hav'nt use dat said fone, L7.. f i'll just see the specs, it really great... somehow, convience me... tsk! tsk!

of all the phone exist (excluding ROKR 1 & ROKR 2), this is the best fone that has a sooooo nice speaker (cool soundz..)
how much more if u upgrade it..

f u talk about 3gp, i'm pretty sure u've ugraded already ur phone... try 2 search & download X 3GP CONVERTER.. it's a cool stuff, u can convert & cus2mize the file... can it b mpeg or avi (bi-directional convertion..)..

w/ regardz 2 Rhythm light, i'm sori but it won't work that way... mayb that's one thing motorola miss. (f i'm ryt!)..

ive got this phone last christmas, sound is very good, like a mini component in a mobile, compared to my collegues nokia 7610,6600 and nokia 3230 which sounds like a transistor radio. cheaper and better than nokia mentioned above.

I bought motorola E398 for just a month. I really like thw phone, except got one problem. I transfer my mp3 from my computer to my phone memory card thru UBS cable. Sometime it can be play, but sometime it give me syntax error, then all the file I have transfer will be corrupted. I have to delete all those file that i have transfer. Please assist me on this.

im from america, and im debating whether to buy the motorola E398 or the L7? Im buying it from canada. cause we are so behind? are they similar? do i need to spend an extra $200 on the L7. im a pretty high tech girl but is the L7 that special?

Hahaha yes I know rythm light is.. but still how do I use rythm light together with mp3 player cause for sure I'm not going to talk into the phone while its on rythm light :P

rhythm lights exist for a reason.
if u go to Personalise, then Rhythm Lights.. set Pattern to anything, aside from off.. then set sensitivity to 7 (max) or 1 (min.). Then go back to standby mode (by pressing BACK 2x or pressing ON/OFF botton... Ur phones screen will be off at this time.. Then make some noise, & see ur phone lights in rtythm w/ the noise u make...
does it makes any sense?...

u can install games but first u have to download P2KTools software.. here are the procedures:
1. go first to connectivity and set usb settings to DATA/FAX CONNECTIONS.
2. plug ur fone & open P2KTools.
3. @P2KTools; see in status bar if Connected & press KJAVA menu (on the right area of the application) & press REFRESH (on the bottom part) & u should see some files. Files having JAR extensions are ur games...
4. if u already downloaded some JAR files from web, press INSTALL (still inside KJAVA menu), & browse the downloaded JAR files..
5. press OK and there u go!..
6. restart ur phone & enjoy the games u've installed...
for JAR files, surf to www.getjar.com...

u can use mp3 as ringtones, but u hav to copy that mp3 from TF to ur fone. but f the mp3 s big in capacity, 4 sure it won't be copied or moved into ur phone...

hey,i wan set those mp3 in the transflash as ringtone..possible?

If your mp3 is in the transflash card, u cannot set is as ringtone.

Hmmm I'm just curious what is the use of the Rythm light??? And how do I change the rythm light for charging and other stuff that cause the rythm light? Thanks
