Motorola has the best music phone out there.
-E398 is the real pioneer of music phone.It was well-known before SE was learning to make Walkman phones.
-Rokr E2 is the best music phone among others.It's been proved by making some tests at Mobile-Review site.
-Rokr E8 is the ultimate music phone.It offers all U need for musical taste.Big storage capacity,3.5mm jack,fast scrolling,support much audio codecs,etc.
Don't forget that it has beaten Nokia 5310 Xpress Music in the test.
So,U guys Motohaters or whatever,U have to face the reality that Moto still offers the best music phone.Don't call your Walkman or Express Music phones are better.Sorry,Moto still rules.

The phone might be good, but is not ... moreHowever, no other brand's phones work as a PHONE as good as Moto EM30 with the Crystal Talk technology...
BTW, how much do "music phones" usually start? Less than US$240?

i had a unique experience... i used the rokr headset for past 4 days and every day minimum i hear 4 hours of non stop music in full volume... to my suprise battery was drained to zero only after two and halfdays.... but with other headsets--Creative EP630 it came only one and half days... COOL na... EM 30 ROKR really ROCKS..

ravi, 02 Nov 2008does equlizer in music player have any effect..........for me sound ouput decreses when they a... moreits true but it gives best quality when the equi. are off... use dell laptop earphones for greatttt quality music

I agree with Ajoy that the specs could have been better.
The phone might be good, but is not at all a good value for money...
Its popular rival has offerings with comparable specs starting at half its price.

Motorola culd have given sm more specifications in a above 8000 Rs phone......Virtually there is not much difference in it than the SLVR series but only extra features are:- equaliser and bass boost(which most users hv no idea, hw 2 operate??), Morphing keypad,and a audio output jack.
The cost wuld have been justified if either it had greater than 2 Mpix or it was accompanied with a flash( A basic feature provided by NOKIA's Rs7500-Rs8000 phones!)
Overall d phone's cool new look and music features along wid d innovative morphing keypad are the only plus pts. !!

For Look, I shall give 8/10; For Shape & screen, I shall give 5/10 as the set is wider in shape & due to horizontal screen, it looks a bit smaller, A2DP is not working properly, occassional 1 or 2 seconds chopping is there, in 1 minute duration, I got maximum 12 choppings. Menu is a bit sluggish, 4-5 seconds delay is there. Motorola may have invented mobile phone, but there menu pattern is of out dated. No, improvements in nearly last 8 years. Broadcast message you can't see on your screen, Operator logo you can't display on your screen. Bass-Boost function is useless. On good & costly headset you can have good bass feeling. Except look & little music, it doesn't have any great feature. The crystal talk feature- I didn't find any difference between motorola & other make phones. That's all my dear.

Bought this phone on the weekend. Very satisified with the sound quality and ease of use. Nice camera too. At just 8000 Rs. in India, it is value for money. Definitely recommend it.
