i work for a vodafone store in new zealand i have to say ON EXPERIENCE previous motorola such as the v3 and v3xs and the like. do have a large number of software problems. but the k1 and above have improved. so there is actauly a basis for stating Nokia vs motorola. the fact remains nokia was more reliable with all its fones from the start where motorola have finaly sourced a software program for there phones that fit. which is good. coz not many other companies are selling flip tops. especially nice thin ones at that.
they are getting onto it now
You can store around 300sms if memory card is the default storage. And I don't thing buzzing is a major problem.

Please Select a New Phone
The buzzing is a problem with most phones, to a greater or lesser extent.
Hi Cat, the buzzing on mine has got really loud, so today i went back to the shop and had sent away to be fixed. I do like my phone but the buzzing got too annoying. will see what happens next week when its back!!
hi jennifer i have the same problem with my phone when i listen the keypad does buzz but dont know how to fix it
I have the K1 in blue, love the phone, n motorolas in general.. but has anyone else had problems with the keypad buzzing? its driving me soft.. its the one thing thats annoying me with this handset..
This is an awesome phone got the looks and everything if you want a portable mirror or something then this is the phone for you the glossy front is a total magnet to finger prints and scratches and this phone loads REALLY!! slow but over all this is a great phone worth the price i bought the black one but does it come in pink?
It does the job. Started out with a Motorola, went through a couple of Nokia phones, a Mitsubishi Trium (Odd phone, but good for the time)and then back to Nokia before a string of Motorola handsets. It has to be said that, despite it not being everyone's cup of tea, once you get used to the systems Motorola are stylish and reliable.
this has to be one of the most annoying phones ever it always beeps if there is no reception and it wont work or show up when i plug it into my computer im gonna get a noki n73 instead. this is not good for studens and becuasae it beeps sometimes i always get it confiscated in class
Compared to the 3 previous phones that I used before this one (2 other Motorolas & then a Nokia), this is unequivocally the best phone I've used to date. The voice quality is superb, the speakerphone is clear, and I can't recall the last time I was responsible for dropping a call. The connection quality is so good, in fact, that the majority of elevators don't cause a drop - no kidding.
Now, some people have bashed this phone, and Motorola, or Nokia, or whom or whatever. This is no different than AMD vs Intel, BMW vs Mercedes, and so on. Similar to products from those manufacturers (Computers & Cars), the real problem often is an under-educated product user frustrated by a lack of immediate gratification.
In the case of this phone (or any new product), try reading the manual, and then search the Web for information & support. You'll be surprised at what is out there insofar as knowledge, support, & customization for this and other Motorola phones. Check out motomodding.us & forums.mobiledia.com for starters and Google your way from there.
This has been the best phone I've yet owned. From comparing my phone to those of my friends & family, I won't hesitate to say that it's the best of the group in call clarity & connection continuity as well. The 2.0MP camera makes rather decent photos (providing that you arrange the settings properly - read the manual), and with a 2GB MicroSD card, I can take MP4 videos, record voice memos, transfer files via bluetooth, and still have room for a few hours of mp3s. ;-)
As always, YMMV, but from a year and a half of personal experience with this phone, I'd say that if you're looking at buying this phone (or even paying the $40 upgrade fees I've recently seen with activations), stop thinking about it & just do it.
Get yourself this phone, a bluetooth headset (The H800 works well - some friends have Plantronics Voyagers & seem just as happy), a car charger, and a good protective case, then don't look back. I haven't, and haven't needed to. Chances are you won't either. :-)
dont trust motorola fones stick with ericcson or nokia v3 razr was appalling so wont try k1 at all
yea i also hav the problem of stuf i download... the quality as a screensaver is quite poor...
I bought this phone a couple days back, and im having problems with the picture quality. The phone is a 2mp but the pictures are VGA stardands.
have two of them and both have the same problem they lockup and you have to turn them off to get them to work I am sending them back for the second time to have this fixed
Absolutely agree with your comment. One thing I must point out, Motorola do produce phones with the best call quality in the business!
