Motorola launches Moto E5 and E5 Plus in India

Motorola has launched the Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus in India. The Moto E5 is priced at INR 9999 ($145) and will be available in Fine Gold and Flash Gray colors on Amazon India and offline retail outlets. The Moto E5 Plus is priced at INR 11,999 ($175) and will be available in Fine Gold and Black on Amazon India and Moto Hub stores.

The Moto E5 is the latest entry level smartphone from the brand that has been redesigned to fit with the company's other 2018 products. On the front is a new 5.7-inch, 18:9 1440 x 720 resolution IPS display. Inside is a Snapdragon 425 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. On the back is a single 13MP f2.0 camera with PDAF and on the front is a 5MP f2.2 selfie camera. It's powered by a large 4000mAh battery but there's no fast charging support.

Moto E5

The Moto E5 Plus has a larger 6.0-inch display but with identical resolution. Inside is a slightly more powerful Snapdragon 430 processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. On the back is a 12MP camera with f2.0 and PDAF and on the front is a 5MP f2.0 selfie camera. The phone is powered by an even larger 5000mAh battery but again, there is no fast charging.

Moto E5 Plus

Both phones have a fingerprint sensor, front loudspeaker, headphone jack, FM Radio, dual SIM, Moto Display, Moto Actions, 1080p video, single-band Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.2 and microUSB. The phones ship with Android 8.0 Oreo. The Moto E5 has a plastic back but the more expensive E5 Plus has a glass back.

Because Xiaomi aggressively cuts costs. Lean R&D, minimal advertising, cheap labor, distribution, outsourcing, etc. Sure they aren't a market leader/innovator, but who cares? As long as phones are sold in large numbers for cheap, they'll have cus...

The p60 should be powerful enough than the SD 425 and 430.
