Motorola Milestone is available in Malaysia. Price could be RM2299 and cheaper than iPhone.
While Motorola DROID users in the US are still waiting for Verizon to roll-out the Android 2.1 update (unless you are one of 1000 testers who got it last week), current users of the Motorola MILESTONE have already recieved the 2.1 update in Spain and also in Bulgaria. Now add to that list Hong Kong and Macau, as the Android 2.1 update was made available to them on March 22nd. But instead of doing an over-the-air update, MILESTONE users in Hong Kong and Macau have the choice of visiting a MOTO ServiceOne Center for the update to be applied there, or by connecting the MILESTONE to their PC via USB and going to the MOTOUPDATE site (will not work in the US). The Android 2.1 update for the MILESTONE will include live wallpapers, up to 9 home screens (what happened to 7?), voice dialer app, and updated apps for the camera, FaceBook, help center, Quickoffice (view only), Moto Car Home, and support for additional languages (Dutch, Portuguese, Greek, Polish, and Turkish).

Motorola Droid's Android 2.1 update status updated on Facebook
Not much to say other than Motorola's still working on the Android 2.1 update for the Droid, but at least a Facebook update is better than nothing, right? For what it's worth, we pestered everybody we could at CTIA to try and get a better answer, but to no avail. Here's the full text of the facebook post:
We know you guys are anxiously awaiting the upgrade from 2.0 to 2.1. Ultimately, we want to ensure you have the best possible experience on your device; as a result, the rollout is taking longer than expected. Though we don't have the new deployment date to share just yet, we do promise we are working to get you updated information and will relay it as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience. We appreciate it

buyer, 25 Mar 2010Hi all...
I am planning to buy this phone. Recently I got a chance to use a milestone. I hav... moreEach key on the keypad is glued down. I can barely press between them and see that they are seperate squares. Motorola made some sacrifices to keep the phone thin, so the keyboard is not very good, but with practice it is ok. I've only read about one instance where the keys peeled up on the keyboard, then got stuck under the slide, preventing the phone from opening.
Motorola has a warranty on the device, I think the droid is like most electronic devices; if it doesn't have problems in the first year it should last for several years.
No themes for the Android OS, you can change EVERYTHING. Wallpapers, ringtones, placement of icons, etc... you can even change the icon pictures (have to buy a app for it though.) If that's not enough for you, you can root the phone and install HTC Sense UI or any number of custom versions of the OS.
Dear Androit users, I'm very new to this OS but very interested. I have one question which is doubted like hell, Does Androit have something like themes on it? You know the way you change the look, icons, and the like? Thanks for reply.
I am planning to buy this phone. Recently I got a chance to use a milestone. I have a question about this phone's qwerty keyboard. I think its too delicate. Its having rubber made keys like those of small calculator's. I am using N97 rite now and feels that the keys of n97 is too solid when compared to the milestone. Milestone owners please give ur valuable review about the qwerty keyboard... thanks
