To update to froyo...
it's from the motorola site so i'd have to say it's reliable.
anyway, i upgraded to froyo... and it was AWESOME. at first it was really slow - especially the messages screen. i had over 8000 messages stored up. so if you're planning on upgrading to froyo, i recommend deleting texts BEFORE UPGRADING - just go to messages, settings and then set a limit of texts - ie maybe 100 or 50 then text that person once and it'll automatically delete the hundreds/thousands of texts stored on that person. it might take a while depending on how many however.
once i deleted heaps of texts, i took advantage of froyo and moved my apps to my SD card - it won't do it for all your apps however, but it is still wonderful.
it's actually like i got a new phone. it's quite fluid now. as long as you're using taskiller to keep ram free it's pretty top notch.
Pls someone help!!!I configured my hotmail email address to my milestone, but I want to delete it totally from the phone.Emails are deleted in the inbox @ trash, but old emails refresh which was deleted 20 at a time & it eats my megs and airtime.I want to know how to delete my email that was configured onto the phone, off it.

I bought a milestone some two months ago. I really love the design and functions of the phone but i have two major problems.
1. my battery does not last long and i have to charge everyday (two times per day sometimes)
2. My phone keeps downloading stuff and i do not know what it is downloading. It went through 100megabytes of data in four days. I disabled the auto updates but still the problem persists.

I fully charged the battery when it was new.
I bought a brand new milestone but the battery lasts for a day ! I fully charged it yesterday morning and talked on the phone for maybe 10 minutes and download few applications for maybe 1 hour and this morning it went off !Is it normal or there is something wrong with the battery ?
AnonD-9530, 28 May 2011my battery lasts for less than 1 hour even without using the phone. why?
Is it a new or used phone? Maybe the battery is close to dead. Or check if you have a draining application.
On settings, check what uses your battery.
My Milestone lasts 16-18 hours with moderate use, including gaming, wifi all day, some 3G, texting, , agenda, email, web surfing and phone calls.
