Sure, we believe you. Why are you so afraid of Moto phones ? Wait for your X10 and be happy.
i hope motorola fix the problem asap
What are sick applications 4 droid?not the the lame 50 listed like Google sky map?thanx gsmers
Cain, 15 Nov 2009Well, that's really nice, replying and talking to yourself, but please stop spreading lies.you can google it about the problem, iam not lied...
my opinion is depend on what i know in official site and from people who ever use 1GHz or 600MHZ..it is not an opinion..i tried it by my self like satio or HD2 but i want to buy an android phone..
From Engadget net review:
"Speaker / earpiece
The sound on the DROID is second to none -- really. In fact, this is simply one of the best sounding devices we've ever used. Whether it's audio through the loud (but undistorted) earpiece, or a speakerphone call -- even music -- the sound which Motorola's device outputs is crystal clear."
Anonymous, 15 Nov 2009i heard milestone has external speaker problemWell, that's really nice, replying and talking to yourself, but please stop spreading lies.
Anonymous, 15 Nov 2009omap 3430 550MHz or 600MHz DSP ? GPU ? snapdragon 1GHz DSP ? GPU ? tell me the answers of ... moreWell we have your "opinion" that 1GHz X10 is the pinnacle of human technology. Why should anyone believe in that ?
Cain, 15 Nov 2009And SE fanboys and Qualcomm site is bound to be neutral, right ?
Anyway here's some more info... moreomap 3430 550MHz or 600MHz DSP ? GPU ?
snapdragon 1GHz DSP ? GPU ?
tell me the answers of those questions officially and specificly
Note" i never believe an opinion" :)
Anonymous, 15 Nov 2009thanks for the link :)
But his comment is not right at all, In first paragraf i agree with ... moreAnd SE fanboys and Qualcomm site is bound to be neutral, right ?
Anyway here's some more info. This time from maemo.org, but it applies to this as well.
This should clear up a few thing about speed, and power efficiency...
"3430 is a better choice than snapdragon. Snap has a weaker DSP and GPU, but makes up for this with more clock cycles from CPU. Same output from snap will likely drain more battery. Power consumption is a concern and why the chipset will be capped at 850mhz as a ceiling and most will cap at 750mhz.
Both chipsets are Arm 8 and 65nm, so do the practical math. Another point of concern is the AMD made GPU in snap is apparently power hungry too.
Another thing to watch out for is some device makers will not use the discrete DSP and GPU in snap and use the integrated features to save cost.
Personally I am glad that nokia went with the OMAP3 instead of the Snapdragon with the N900. Snapdragon might give you the magical "1Ghz" figure, which in reality will drain your battery like I don't know what.
In reality, reading the whitepapers, snapdragon is not bad, just a very different SOC then OMAP3 is. OMAP3 gets it's strength from it's DSP's and GPU, where the Snapdragon gets it with raw cpu from clock speeds.
Using DSP's has been proven that it's less flexible, but way more power efficient. So if they can make good use of that design, it should be a win there.
Also... the N900 might just not need it. If you can do everything with it you want and in terms of mobile devices, is pretty much the fastest out there, or fast enough to do what anyone can think of doing with it? The choice is right again.
Also keep in mind that we don't actually know if anyone is using the GPU with licensed drivers from Qualcomm, in the past there have been major issues with this. Power consumption comes into play again, it might be faster, but at what cost?
Take a look at some info for Snapdragon and OMAP3. The OMAP3 has been "hand designed" for a port and is a quite balanced chip in the end. Where the SnapDragon has made consessions to achieve the 1Ghz, in a way that is less usefull, to me at least."
Cain, 15 Nov 2009And maybe this will help a bit in educating people:
http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2009/10/3... morethanks for the link :)
But his comment is not right at all, In first paragraf i agree with him that snapdragon has the same CPU "DESIGN" as ARM one. i think he should read carefully about the snapdragon perfomance in official qualcomm site and in the 2nd paragraf is also wrong...
i know why he said like that coz this phone doesnt use 1GHz cpu..iam sure if this phone used 1GHz he wont said like that..it mean his comment is his argue or "self defend of motorola fan" he is not netral :)
KarlosPeru, 15 Nov 2009Tiene camara secundaria para Videocall??????Yes, it has secondary camera for video call. You can see it in close up pictures.
We must not make mistake Droid vs Iphone 3gs shows Droid being almost fast like iphone and very good on internet but iphone is the best phone in the market while samsung have in market phone with 800 mhz still iphone 3gs better than samsung hd omnia and now Droid is second but for me is the best because of all internet featuring google map and all that and like the speed is the best
And maybe this will help a bit in educating people:
When X10 come out, there will be 2 or 3 new Moto phones with better specs than X10
Anonymous, 15 Nov 2009iam just looking for a great phone whatever its brand...i didnt mean to compare the cpu betwee... moreIt is nice and reasonable that you are looking for the best phone for you. And if you don't want to rush, then you should wait until the next high end Android phone is out so you can compare them. Maybe X10 will prove better, maybe it won't. And maybe something else will come out and beat them all. You can not predict "long life" of a phone even on its launch day, let alone if it isn't even fully functional yet. So, if you are not in a hurry, wait until February and thene we can talk about the prospects.
