Before you say"milestone is the best" and before you buy it. You must watch this important video below :
Note : The phone of that video is a early prototype device ( prototype perfomance), the phone will come out on february or march. So the company of the phone is evolving and increasing the perfomance.there's still 3 or 4 month left for evolving that phone
february is not too far from now, that is your options
I dont think the battery power would nice, 350 hours, seems like not enough to use, maybe the htc hero battery is better than this one
I hope it has a covered camera. If so, I will wait till the release of it :)
the good thing of this android phone is only the keyboard hardware
the applications and the features ? you can find it in android market or android 2.0 OS
multi touch perfomance is not smooth if you compare it with iphone's
550MHz ? Next there will be many phones with better CPU than this
Anonymous, 12 Nov 2009 htc magic at compare milestone ? your magic just like toywhich one is best if we compare both of their battery , did droid better than magic battery?
I don't know if any of you know about XKCD.
But it's definitely worth it today:
I'm an iphone user. Today, I went to the Verizon store to check out the droid. And here's my impression:
It feels solid in your hand. The keyboard slides out smoothly. Although I've seen and used better keys. I can actual type faster on my iphone's virtual keyboard.
Touch sensitivity is really good. It's responsive, although the iphone still has the better touchscreen. There's somehow a degree of fluidity and smoothness that the iphone has, that other touchscreen phones just can't seem to match. Although I must say that the droid is not that bad at all, and I would say that if you haven't used an iphone, the droid would do just fine.
I played around with its screens and apps. It's as quick as the iphone in opening apps. The screen transitions are smooth as well. But loading of pics took a little while. With the iphone, it's instant.
I'm a facebook addict, so its facebook app was the first one I tried out. For those who haven't used the iphone, I think you'd find its facebook app alright. But for an iphone user like me, it was frustrating and does not come close to the way the iphone's facebook app works.
I wanted to play around with it more, but I didn't want to hog the device for there were others who were waiting for me.
My conclusion. It is definitely not an iphone killer, but it is a fine touchscreen phone. It's screen resolution is very nice and actually better than the iphone. But it's ui is still behind the iphone's. As impressive the droid may be, it's not worth for me to switch from an iphone. But for those who never used the iphone and don't want At&t, the droid is definitely the best choice.
The Z key in the place of the y is because is a photo from the german version.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970I'm sorry about saying that, but it was really preconcious! If you were talking about the box,it was made by a cheap chinese manufacter,if was about the phone, look to the LG BL40 New Chocolate, this is really adevice that homossexual people would like (no ofense or preconcious)! XD
KTTK, 09 Nov 2009Why Motorola switched the Z and the Y in the keyboard?that picture is from an german version of the phone.
Did droid packaging box is the final packaging?? Its like a cheaps box for me
Why without contract the prices of motorola droid will be expensiver than droid with contract???
Did milestone battery is better than the htc magic?? Someone say the milestone battery is nice and the another one say that milestone battery isn't enough to use, can you help me??I've planned to change my magic and buy this one.
