Finally I got my Milestone. Everything is good about this phone except one thing - During Call (just after 1/2 mins) the ear piece area is getting heated so much that it become unbearable. - This is the phone which not be used as phone.

The "voice privacy" is found on the Verizon "Droid" and not the Milestone. But I believe you can change the "codec" to get better voice quality. Here is the link to the Motorla forum: https://supportforums.motorola.com/thread/17480 --- To get to the programming menu follow this link: http://cellphoneforums.net/motorola-droid/t305074-droid-programming-menu.html -- The instructions to get to the programming menu for "Milestone" could be different.

Saurabh, 29 Apr 2010Hi, How can i install my apps on sd card insted of internal memory of the phone. Please resolv... moreAndroid support for memory card app storage is finally 'coming soon'
One of the biggest complaints with Android since the dawn of civilization is that the expansive plains of storage available on microSD cards have been left under-utilized; coldly ignored by the OS while it did everything it could to stuff the measly couple-hundred megs of internal storage with apps. Soon that problem will finally be rectified, with a Google representative closing the long-running Issue 1151. The issue, which covers external installation of apps, was opened in October of 2008 and since then was voted on by 2561 people, all of whom want Google to set their memory cards free. Exactly when this functionality is coming it remains to be seen, but the "coming soon" note in comment 535 is very encouraging. Froyo, anyone?
can you tell me whether this phone is skype compatible please .. my mail address is ... firstname.lastname@example.org
i want to buy milestone but some poeple are telling me that i will be not able to use 3G on it in USA. since i have T-Mobile USA. can you plz tell me if 3G works on t-mobile network or i will be useing 2G .
[deleted post]Does it really work?
Last year Jan Motor released its A3100 where I live for about US$400.
One year later, despite not exactly good comments from the users, price only dropped to US$350...
@ saurabh: Android apps are installed on the internal memory and there is nothing you can do against it. This is part of the security concept. Each app or more precisely all apps signed with the same developer certificate run in the context of the same Linux user and get file access through that user. There are user and group ids generated whenever you install an app. All data of the app, also created files, get the user and group assigned and thus can only be accessed by the app itself. In addition, each app (identified through its package) runs in its own Dalvik VM sandbox.
If you put apps on the SD card, this security concept (file access) is broken. That is why you have no choice. The described concept is only a part of the entire security concept, but it is the one responsible for not being able to install apps outside the internal memory.
i've been using iphone 3G for sometime now. i wanted to buy another mobile for my office purpose. after spending sometime in the internet reading reviews and user opinions i decided to buy motorola milestone. i've been using it for a coupe a days now. all i have to say, this phone is definitely a 'iphone killer'.
touch sensitivity, pinch and zoom - just like the iphone. moreover, it's got 5mp camera with a LED flash.
read some reviews regarding problems in wifi connectivity, but i never faced any problem whatsoever.
This phone is definitely a milestone in anyones life (p.s-if like the looks of it)
- do make the full use of it.
