I do warranty repair work for the major cellphone brands (LG, Motorola, HTC, Samsung, etc.), and motorola is one of the most reputable. They seem to repair a lot of things they really shouldn't, according to their official warranty policy. Buy an LG phone once, you'll be crawling back to Motorola when LG tells you to bend over and pay the &75 labor cost for repairing a manufacturer defective phone.

Till then Motorola is going to behave as if they dont know what we are talking about when we say "warranty".

I have had the same issues with 2 Motorola flip phones and I have no reason to believe it wont happen with any Motorola phone with moving parts. Or that Motorola will all of a sudden have some sort of realization and will start owning up defects in their manufacturing. Crooked practices are not something that vanish in a day just because its a new phone.

I've been using this phone for over 2 months and I have NOT experienced what you mentioned.
Where I live Moto CS offers one of the best service among the mobile manufacturers with the least waiting time, and hardly ever heard it blamed customer for "everything".

They will term any problem you face as "Physical damage", and you will have to pay for the repair yourself even in the warranty period. To top it all up, they will smile while you cry for your money.
So you are entirely on your own after buying this phone. For this reason, you might want to buy this phone from grey mkt as buying legal is of no use.
Motorola has the best features but they just manufacture the phone with cardboard and paper and glue them together with spit. So dont expect the HW to last more than a year or so at max.
So if you dont have the time and energy for consumer courts, DO NOT buy a Motorola.

The phone has damn tempting features but DO NOT buy it. Actually DO NOT buy a Motorola ever !!! Its the most unethical company I have seen yet.
