Just like last year, Motorola and
Verizon will launch a Droid phone for
the holiday shopping season that
will be the first device to feature a
new version of Android.
Motorola is ultra secretive when it
comes to big product launches so I
might have a few details that are
slightly off, but they have left clues
all over the place and I ’m just fitting
the pieces together using my
Android-powered brain and intel
I ’ve gathered from my growing
team of ninjas.
This superphone, which I’m calling
the Droid T2, will be the first to ship
with Gingerbread (most likely
Android 2.5), the first to feature
NVIDIA ’s dual-core Tegra 2 platform,
and the first to offer 1080p video
encode/decode. Users should also
expect all the high end features
found in the Droid X with the
addition of a front-facing camera.
Some of you may remember that
Motorola Co-CEO Sanjay Jha boasted
about delivering a 2 GHz phone in
time for Christmas, but we recently
discovered that was a slip of the
tongue and he was actually referring
to the two cores (clocked at 1 GHz
each) found inside the Tegra 2
platform.
moto has launched something fresh ,the features are satisfying but the last but not least missing thing is secondary camera.i dont no why? u cannot make a video calling.
New Verizon devices coming soon:
Motorola Venus (October) – a
mysterious Android Froyo
smartphone with “BlackBerry look
and feel”, QWERTY keyboard, 1GHz
processor and global roaming
capabilities
Motorola Droid Pro (which could be
the Droid 2 World Edition) should be
launched in late October or early
November
The just-seen Samsung Continuum
SCH-i400 is slated for late October
The HTC Merge / Lexikon could also
be available starting late October /
early November
The LG enV Pro should bring even
more Android in November,
featuring 1GHz processor and CDMA/
GSM connectivity
The Motorola Stingray tablet may be
out in the first quarter of 2011,
apparently being based on Nvidia’s
Tegra 2 platform and featuring
Android 3.0 Gingerbread, 10 inch
display, 16GB of internal memory,
and the ability to support LTE

Moto has been doing good job of late of introducing the best of line phones however, they need to cover up fast else they will face same fate what sony ericsson and Nokia are facing because they are far behind. Further, Moto should look to make their video player versatile like samsung wave/galaxy s which can play almost any format whether MKV/AVI/XVID/DIVX or even VOB files. Plus it requires a bit of working on screen ratio i.e. if length of phone is reduced by quarter or half centimeter and increse width, browser and movie experience will be better and start using AMOLED/SUPER AMOLED screen because sunlight legibility of all moto phones is a concern. Last but not least better energy management and higher capacity battery.
Moto should speed up to release this phone. Competing giants from LG, HTC, Nokia will release soon their top models. Esp HTC with Desire Z.
Moto, can hardly wait for your phone any longer.
Motorola needs to release this phone ASAP as competiting models might come up very soon from HTC & Samsung and thereby they loose mind share & market share too !!
In my opinion, it's better for Motorola to release this phone as soon as possible especially now that it's unrivaled. Can't wait to get my hands on this thing! :)
Jun, 26 Sep 2010Between motorola milestone 2 and htc desire z,which one should i buy??Between motorola milestone 2 and htc desire z,which one should i buy??

Froyo 2.2 DOES allow you to save and run applications from the SD card. It works for most of the applications I've used on my Droid.
Settings>Applications>Manage Applications, select an application then press "Move to SD card".
please review this super smartphone
unrivaled munster android

Must have one! I've waited a long time for a phone like this. I almost bought the first Milestone, I'm glad I waited!! Launch it already Motorola!
every body loves ray, 27 Sep 2010se x10 is android os 1.6 that's why? but milestone is powerful v 2.2 froyo. got it?I think would understand the difference in Android OS1.5, 1.6, 2.1 and 2.2 . Do you get it? My Android Desire was already upgraded to OS 2.2. Okay? I am not talking about software problem but phone's performance problem as far as such ad Desire had a problem with 3G dropping off most of times, or Samsung Galaxy S was freezing or lagging a lot compare to Desire.
