I can't believe all the positive comments regarding this phone. I bought it at Walmart, paid full price and I'm not impressed at all. Camera doesn't have a flash, takes long to charge, it's slow, cant handle too many apps open at once.very disappointed
If the Motorora Moto E (2nd generation) can be unlocked by swiping on the screen as mentioned, I will buy one
FYI, it states supporting up to 32gb but it can read my Transcend 64gb micro-sd with no problem. I prefer my Lumia 640 before but starting to like this Moto E2 a tad more because I prefer Android for texting (SwiftKey), surfing (Opera Mini, CM Browser), and video playback (MX Player).
My Lumia excels far better in hardware especially camera and phone voice quality. That's the two main weaknesses with this cp. Muffled sound when I speak on the mic and the camera is nothing special perhaps being only on par with the iPhone 3Gs or 4 from 6-7 years ago.
But if you want an offspring of the first gen Moto X (SD S4 Pro) and Moto G (SD 400) from 2013, the Moto E 2nd gen would be it. It has an sd slot that those Motorolas didn't have and packing a bigger battery only needing to power a "4.5/540p display in a thick but compact body.
This little cp is superior to the first two gens of the Moto X and G in many areas. If I traveled back in time to 2011, I would take this $29.99 Moto E2 over any flagship released that year including the iPhone 4s, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Nexus, HP Pre 3, Nokia N9, BlackBerry Bold 9900, etc.
A marriage between the Moto X and Moto G from 2013 for an affordable price. I rotate between five phones - Xiaomi Mi 3, LG G3 Beat, Microsoft Lumia 640, Motorola Moto E 4G, and MyPhone my81 DTV. This $30 Moto E 4G I got from Best Buy easily has the best ergonomics, one of the fastest/smoothest, and longest battery life. Imagine the Moto X from 2013 had a baby with the first gen Moto G and the Moto E2 is the result. Only weakness is the camera but still takes better photos than my HTC One M7. Camera has never been a forte from Moto.
VYAS, 24 Jun 2016i want to know that this moble will support 4g simYes Moto E LTE version supports 4g sim.
Anna, 17 Jun 2016I have got a spelling mistake in "Dialing" .It shows "Dailling" there is double ll in the spel... moreDialing is the correct spelling in American English. For British English (and other variants of the language), dialling is the correct spelling.
I just got this Moto E 4G a couple nights ago and I am pleasantly surprised by it. I didn't think it would be as good as my other three phones including the Lumia 640 which I also got for $30. But it is very fast and smooth. The camera is pretty average and nowhere as good as the Lumia 640 but I use a different camera app to get it to focus more.
I like the screen better than expected even woth only 245 ppi. While my other phones are at 25% during indoors and night, my Moto E is quite bright and is at 10%. Battery life is also fantastic. I can easily get 10 hrs SOT. The way I customized it using Nova Prime with Circle animation, the phone doesn't seem to lag and just feels buttery smooth. Love its size and ergonomics too.
Camera - 7/10
Call quality - 7/10
Loudness - 8/10
Display - 8/10
Battery life - 9/10
User Experience - 9/10
Value - 10/10
This is a very good phone, folks. 8/10 overall. Beats every iPhone before the iPhone 5 and worth the price if you can get it for $30 like me. Not quite on par with the Lumia 640 on camera, but the best Android close to that WP price range. Just too bad nonremovable battery.
Average performance..long lasting Battery but taking almost 2to3 hours for full charge,, multitasking impossible.. Hang sometimes,,, jus an average performance...
I have got a spelling mistake in "Dialing" .It shows "Dailling" there is double ll in the spelling while calling someone. Need to change the spelling

Anonymous, 31 May 2016Don't move to 6.0Working even better with Android 6.0
Didn't update to M still using lollipop Moto E 2ndgen. Recommend (4/5)this phone for big improvement for me since my old sgh-s730m mainly and same bargain price wow. pros: hard shell, quick, multitasking, camera, some games that want qC cpu do work cons: volume buttons delay, external speaker, It would be cool if sum1 put the same 2 identical phones together to see which one runs different apps/games faster slower or any bugs in real time. I read there we're sd issues card and copying files to desktop was not received well.
