I have been using a moto g for 6 months. After kitkat update it turned out to be the worst smartphone I ever used. I had been experiencing many issues like call drops( dont blame it on my service provider I use a microsim and I tried the same sim on other phones without any problems. Believe me my nokia 1600 was better to handle calls than moto g!).Internet connectivity issues,low/no volume etc. I contacted their customer care and they told me to bring my phone to their service center. They told me the only thing they could do was to reinstall phone with latest operating system(Kitkat). I waited for the next update. It was actually a bugfix and not an update. As the last one google made me update my phone with their annoying screens mentioning that there is an 'update'(BUGFIX!) available and I must do that. I updated my phone hoping that the bugfix will work. But like before google just made it worse!. Call dropping issue was not fixed and I am having more call drops than before and it happens when someone call me with a job offer. Battery backups are less than 12 hour even if the calls are of 2-3 minutes and only less than 10 calls are made. Other issues I am facing are disturbances, unclear conversations, internet connectivity issues.I am even getting a loading screen with a spinner when accessing menu or phone dialer and it lasts for a couple of seconds. Their customer care take about 24 hours to respond. I tried giving google a feedback but cannot find any links to that.

Motorola is one of the oldest mobile phone companies and has a wealth of experience in mobile making and that is why expectations form their devices is much more specially in terms of call quality. My last phone was motorola defy plus and I must say that in call quality segment defy was better. Its not that good in moto g but not quite bad. its ok. you will not face any major issue in fact most of the guys who use other companies will be unable to distinguish. But definitely the call quality is not exceptional as was in Moto Rokr, Defy plus, and as is still there in moto x. But its not a major issue.

Noahz, 19 Aug 2014Hi guys, i just want suggestion from you. I hope you will help me to decide. :D What would... moreLook moto g is one of the devices in which dimensions play key role in its very perfect design that fits in hand and still it manages to give you a way too impressive screen that is not small.

In zenphone everything is fine but first you have to deal with its huge size. Bezels all around the screen are huge and one can not even think of using this phone with one hand all the time. Its a big problem for those who surf at night on bed. Everyone wants more comfort which only moto g provides with its ergonomical design.

and the biggest difference is in processor itself, its just a dual core processor in zenphone. Don't go for it if you want an overall smooth experience.

Moto G is too small. They say 4.5 inch but it looks smaler than my Galaxy Core which is 4.3.

I saw following comment on flipkart.
Flipkart is currently delivering a new batch of Moto G phones starting with IMEI no: 353XXXX, this series comes with Android 4.2.2 version pre-installed, they have software issues and are unable to recognize Indian SIM cards.IS it true or false. I m confused between moto g and Xiaomi mi3 which one is better?
