mkshrma, 26 Apr 2014Guy, this is my first android phone after symbian, bada and window phone os from nokia, sam, s... morehello sharmaji, I would like to let u know that 4.4.2 version itself is kitkat. may be u got kitkat version while purchased. If the OS version showing as 4.4.2 then u have already got what u r asking for.
Perfect smartphone with a lot of features. Smooth , No hanging, Good battery life, good screen quality.
Only drawback i see is the main camera. It produces natural colors. No artificial colors like other brands.
Even though a lack of memory slot, for my knowledge 99% of the users arn't filling 16GB in there phone ? , so even the 16GB internal storage is far more than for me ( i carry a flash drive if i want to store data , and use my home-theater of computer to watch movies )
SO GO FOR IT , ITS A REAL BARGAIN FOR THE MONEY.
1.) gorilla glass
2.) android 4.4
3.) good battery backup
4.) reasonable price
1.) video call option
2.) non-removable battery
3.) data cable & otg support
4.) memory card slot

This is Very amazing Phone. I bought it last month. performance is good. pic quality is very nice. it is a waterproof. i am very happy with my moto G.
I m using san Disk pen drive. Is there any specified pen drive for OTG to work in moto g.
Hai friends, OTG is working if i connect with mouse but when i connect with pen drive its showing data cannot be read. I don't know how to get datas from my pendrive to phone. Any body help.
yogesh, 05 May 2014dont buy this mogo g. such bakwaas service they r providing.
I hv given my handset to servic... more I agree. Moto g is not good phone .I also having this and facing many problems. You can see thousands of problems being faced by most of the users of this phone on Motorola Owners' Forum
Yesterday received a fresh moto g from flip cart. I was very eager to use this handset as read lots and lots of favourable reviews about this mobile. I am a user of lumia 520 from last one year. I am very much satisfied from my lumia 520. Lumia is having outstanding internet connectivity and fabulous speed. but this really lags in moto g may be it is having a quad core processor but still nothing can be compared to lumia. Both mobiles moto g and lumis 520 are having 5 mp camera but the quality of lumia camera is good than that of moto g but certainly lumia lags in flash availibility else nothing can beat lumia.
I've lost my iphone 5s and I'm thinking about buying this phone, could you tell me if it's a good choice or not??????????? need some help in here.
Microphone stopped working.
Phone was bought in the UK but I live in New Zealand.
The phone is also available in NZ with same specs.
Moto refuses to offer international warranty saying I have to send it back to the UK.
Absolutely ridiculous. Vote with your feet.
hey guys...I brought moto g on 11 April. And Its very good fine available in market. just take it I search more than 50 to 70 mobiles in 8k to 15k range.BT at last I take this one.
because I read detailed specifications of all phone and "every phone have some drawback".
so just take this one.
mind blowing performance....
battery is almost 7 to 8 hours in 3g mode.
so what we have want ?
and clearity is blast because its more clear than iPhone.
16 GB HDD
50 GB cloud storage.
so what u want?
and mainly reputation and standard in front of others.....
not a china phone....
because all others company Samsung,Motorola, HTC uses snapdragon processor and rest of all uses mediatek .
Up until now, with exception to the startac, I have hated Motorola phones since I started using them.awkward complicated software and worse batteries on any phone ever, then I got one of these... £100gbp (about $130 USD) and it is one of the best phones I have ever had!!! Awesome quality camera, very quick quad core processor, nice lous speaker, decent secondary camera and looks great. Not had any issues so far, and the battery is awesome. It will go 3 days with moderate to heavy use on WiFi and 3G, with just one half hour charge in between. Android KitKat is cool too (apart from the changes to music player, not so keen on that) overall I would say this phone is better quality built and value than some phones I have seen going fo double or triple the price. The only let down (if you can even call it a letdown) is no expandable memory, but seeing as I only have about a gig of music on there that isn't even a problem. No wall charger included, just a USB cable but even that not a problem as I have a few spares. Highly recommend this phone to anyone!!!!
AnonD-93594, 05 May 2014somebody know if the Moto G Verizon model support GSM-SIM? Because I see it in Verizon at $99 ... moreVerizon is a CDMA network, no Sim cards, so the answer to your question is no.
