rex, 13 Mar 2014okkk...then why are they naming it as water repellent coating?????
what is the meaning of thi... morei definitely understood your point, however please take note that motorola never ever claimed that the phone is water resistant, they just advise you that the phone is covered by a protective layer that may HELP prevent water damage when you accidentally put it in the sink or something, but of course if the protection failed they are not liable for it because the keyword there is "TO HELP PROTECT AGAINST WATER" and not to make the phone water proof . so they are not liable if you try to put you phone in the water accidentally or intentionally. it is the user's own responsibility to take care of the phone. if it's damage by liquid like most other phone then it is not cover under warranty.
just remember, motorola never claimed the phone to be water resistant so they are not responsible if your phone is damaged by water.

[learn to read carefully my previous post ] although she had tested it successfully, if you gonna read the whole blog, the blogger said that i quote: [ Don't go out dunking your device in water and thinking you won't run the risk of damaging your phone unless the manufacturer feels confident enough to tell you it can survive. The only conclusion that you should draw from this video is that the Moto G is more sustainable than we originally thought, and that's great if an accident occurs. ] end of quote. so it is not water resistant smart guy, it just have water-repellent coating that helps keep the water out. so don't got around saying that this phone is water resistant as it is not, the company didn't go around telling this phone is water resistant because they have a reason not to.
please read carefully before you say something
and for your reference

what is the meaning of this if it could not protect from being damaged from water?????
i want to ask this question to motorola what they actully want to show as moto g is water repellent????
I've had a Moto G dual. that's good phone and i'm so happy to purchase. but i have a issue:
My phone is charging too slow with motorola charger (about 5 hr until full charge!) but when I use another charger, that's ok and get full after 2 hrs. ant motorola charger is ok too! because I charge sony and nokia phones with motorola charger and they haven't any problem!
Can you tell me what I do? (my phone upgrade to kitkat)
AnonD-243491, 13 Mar 2014I don't get FM loud speaker and FM recording features in moto gYeah that's a drawback.
Bought Moto G 3 weeks back and found it very good. Very decent performance. It works smoothly. I am using a dual sim version 16 GB.
It works pretty well.
Good value for money.
Of course once or twice it threw error while opening the camera. But it was just twice. Hence restarted the phone. Everything was alright.
Compared Moto G with other phones which costs 1.5 times more than Moto G and found Moto G is the best phone.
Gaming is awesome, can play all the games without any issue. Camera is pretty good in the light. Display is awesome. Internet speed is pretty good. We can get all the apps we want.
I have installed more than 50 apps on my mobile. Just to check the performance. It worked pretty well. No lags. Pretty good performance.
Only thing - Camera not good at night/without light. No expandable memory.
Overall Performance is really good. Anyone can get it. It's actually worth double than it's price compared to other manufacturers phones. Just compare with high end phones.
mani, 12 Mar 2014camera always showing error?????Yeah, sometimes it used to show Error. But have restarted twice later found no issues.
It works smoothly.
just restart once and close all the open appa if you have any. It works well.
There is no option to activate loud speaker while fm playing. Is der any sollution? Even there is no fm recording feature?
Better than iPhone... Excellent Google phone and very cheap with top notch hardware...software
Just buy it
Is moto G better than HTC One X/X plus? I love the sense 4/4.5 UI very much so I cant think of any other phone than htc One x/x plus.I dont mind if it doesnt get kitkat update like moto g. Doesnt it support all apps/games that moto g do as well?
The phone seemed to be alright at first but recently me and my friends who bought the cell, upgraded it to android 4.4.2 kitkat and problems have followed it since then. It switches to airplane mode automatically and gives all kind of network problems. Switching off and on used to help at first but now it doesn't. Please suggest a solution for this.
i am not able to send or receive sms on my device pls help me guys if anyone know the solution.
sSs™, 12 Mar 2014water resistant? where did you learn that from? from youtube? peers? colleagues? what is the I... moreYou will feel stupid once you go on Google and search for Moto G water text and see that the phone can last 30 minutes in the bath tub for no damage and still working perfectly but Motorola doesn't call it water resist but it is almost that. Moto G or the Moto X doesn't need to cover the USB charging because the technology Moto use can take water for no damage the circuit are well protected against water but the phone isn't waterproof like the Moto Defy with IP 14 but the have water rappel protection.
Actually have been upgraded on 4.4 Kit kay for over a month with no issues,
Battery Life is excellent, can use it up to 2 days , screen is bright and I really find this phone is just right for me, all apps load without lag, and the phone is at a bargain price for sim only (Which I bought)
Can recommend this phone to anyone who wants a decent android phone for a decent price
