As a proud owner of the new MOTO G, I was surprised at the malfunctioning of the speaker phone. The idea of using speaker phone is to share the talk with friends around me but this phone fails to provide the facility. Another friend of mine who bought one last week has the same experience. Is anything possible to be done to rectify this apparent fault in the unit?

navi, 12 Feb 2014phone is superb touch is awesome screen is best All features are good but what we have to do when the battery backup is low. We have to drop the phone or had a chance to change the battery.
This seems like a fine budget phone (1.2 Ghz quad core processor and a 720p), actually this can be compared to the nexus 4 but is there any other smartphone out there that is in the price range of 200-270 that is better than the Moto G.. or its as good as it gets :/
sham, 12 Feb 2014can anyone tell abt the build quality....Build quality feels rather premium, surprisingly frm its low price tag.
sham, 12 Feb 2014can anyone tell abt the build quality....Well one of the strongest phone in the market and The Moto G features a water repellent coating which means you'll be able to whip it out in the rain without fear of a short circuit, but it is not waterproof - so no jumping in the pool with it. This option makes it better than some flagship like GS4, Note3 or iPhone 5.
The 2070mAh non-removable battery housed inside the Moto G is claimed to give you all day battery life, and I put that to the test - skip ahead to the battery life and connectivity section to see how it got on.
The Moto G comes with a 4.5-inch, 1280 x 720 display and boasts a 329ppi pixel density. To put that in some perspective that's a bigger, higher resolution and more defined display than the iPhone 5S - not bad for a handset which is a third of the price.
Of course a HD display isn't the only key factor in a smartphone, but Motorola has managed to equip the Moto G with a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and 1GB of RAM.
In terms of specs then the Moto G is actually giving the HTC One Mini, Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and Nokia Lumia 820 a run for their mid-range, dual-core money - and once again the screen is bigger than these rivals. The Motorola handset even beats the Samsung and Nokia when it comes to resolution.
I found that the Moto G did boot up impressively quickly, but Motorola's claims that it performs various tasks quicker than the Samsung Galaxy S4 still seem a little far fetched to me.
Sure the interface is smooth - impressively so in fact when you consider the price - but I can't say that it noticeably out performs, or even matches the various flagships I've had the pleasure of using.
