I use a Samsung S3 USB to Micro USB cable without any problems, so it will be okay to use the one you have.
vishal, 07 Feb 2014which adapter should we use for moto g
Any micro USB charger with an output of 0.5A or higher will work. I use a 2.1A charger (for faster charging) which is fine because the phone automatically detects the higher input and the phone has IC protection so you won't harm the phone.

when ph... more@ Agontuk
Your argument is irrelevant. Most manufacturers are now switching to non-removable batteries. A good example of this is the iphone. I shudder to guess how much you would be charged to replace the battery in one of those!
To force the Moto G to reset is easy:
Press and hold the Power button for 7 - 10 seconds, the device will restart and go through the boot-up sequence.
I received the phone today and am unable to connect the Phone to my PC for file transfer. Neither the phone is charging through USB. Kindly help. Is the phone defected?
