When Motorola was owned by Google, users were confident of getting updates quicker than any other Android phones (except maybe Nexus). But with Lenovo's acquisition Motorola phone (potential) users will be in doubt.

But the prob is today Google announced that it's selling Motorola's smartphone business to Chinese manufacturer Lenovo for about $3 billion. And that can be a concern.
Apart from that i can suggest you another good phone in this price range desire 501 better than core and 500 anyday.

As long as it takes to reach 100% (LOL). My phone came with about 60% charge in the battery. I just plugged it in overnight (about 7 hours).
The booklet that comes with the phone states "Motorola batteries and charging systems have circuitry that protects the battery from damage from overcharging".
One word of caution though. Do NOT let the battery run right down. There are reports from other users on the Internet that if you let the battery run down to 0% then it will not recharge or have difficulty beginning the charge. I charge mine when it reaches 16 - 20%.

Will it affect Moto G anyways??That's where my concern also lies.
Though lenovo was the forth highest grosser in this quarter still relying on them with this phone, will that serve the purpose?
My second concern lies in the fact, that i was actually buying this phone for the Google branding and it's fast updates. Now suddenly that seems vague.
Am actually in a dilemma after receiving this news.
Micromax is also launching their successor of Canvas Knight with better specs.
Lenovo and Micromax hold the same stature for me.

Google announced today that it's selling Motorola's smartphone business to Chinese manufacturer Lenovo for about $3 billion.
So does that mean that from now on all the samrtphone issues will be handled by Lenovo?
So all about moto G receiving the fastest of updates will remain a marketing strategy?
