wantamotog, 15 Jan 2014If money is not a problem what would you prefer Moto G or Galaxy s4 mini? , opinions please...moto g for the bigger HD display, pure & fast android experience, android 4.4 and better battery life!!and of course you save some money anyway...
but you should really know what you need from your device, gs4 mini has better camera, sd card slot and it's a slimmer device..

Just bought this phone from Phones4u as they were the only shop in Manchester to have any in stock (I think there's a clue here). I am sooo pleased I chose this phone. Its fast, nippy and the touch experience is the best yet. Well done Google for buying Motorola. The camera is allot better than what some reviews suggest. The colour and light is spot on better than my Sony C905 Cybershot that's going a long way for me. Sound quality is impressive both for voice and music. Motorola always have made good quality phones but up until now styling and attractive functionality have been missing. Now its got it all and I think this phone will set the benchmark for budget smartphones.

can't i transfer the data from my moto g to my computer, or from computer to pc ... moreTransfer between PC and moto G is different than OTG and you can do that with usb data cable and bluetooth.
In that case computer will take the moto G as a flash drive and you can copy and paste any thing you want.
No OTG support means no more Flash memory drive can be used with moto G.
any guess for the distribution partner in India? Can we use OTG with any 3 rd party apps without rooting?

ovi das, 15 Jan 2014@imtiaz639 can't i transfer the data from my moto g to my computer, or from computer to pc ... moreWell, you can do perhaps anything with a computer and a mobile phone, with or without cables..!!!
I now have my Kitkat update - yay.
It seems to be generally good although I haven't tried the ART feature yet.
I have just a couple of issues:
1 - The QuickOffice widget for access to recent files is now gone and I used that a lot :(
2 - The new printing functionality only works with HP printers so to anyone else it essentially becomes unremovable bloatware - not good on a Vanilla OS.
Everything else is good though and the camera is noticeably improved :)
launch t in India as soon as possible otherwise moto g will not compete with the HP Slate 6 Voice Tab that will be launching within one month.

Joy, 15 Jan 2014"I don't think they pay nothing more than 5 dollars per device to microsoft, yeah if you ... moreFirst of all, the phone is great. I've had it for about 2 weeks and I'm amazed by its performance. There are better (as in, faster and more feature packed) phones out there, no doubt about that, but the Moto G is like the king of its price range. I'd suggest you go for the 16GB. It's definitely more future-proof.
Just received KitKat for my moto g which is UK version, thanks moto.
the update is available for the UK version!!
