AnonD-217490, 22 Dec 2013Hey does anyone know how much of the 6gb memory is available to you ? since most phones have a... morein the 8GB model it's a 5,5 GB of space for user. "2,5 GB" is for the system, BUT, all the apps are installed on the USER side of the memory (some phones have separate memory for apps and files, moto G does not).
With the stock installation (Google and Motorola apps) it's ~4,9 GB of free user space, in JB 4.3.

I noticed that you posted your comment only a few hours after I posted mine, so did you compare the two phones alongside each other before posting? I doubt it!
Unlike you, I DID compare them before commenting. A work colleague has a Nexus 4, and it was when we placed them alongside each other that I saw the similarity. Then we compared the specifications and operation of the phones. The Nexus 4 beat my Moto G for speed because it has twice the RAM, and photos were far superior because of the mediocre camera fitted in the Moto G.
