Droid Ghost, 21 Nov 2013Nexus 5 is completly better then Moto G but the Moto G prices are best compare to any phone in... moreExactly! Im just trying to tell people not to get this phone instead of a high end device they may have been getting! For a time I was thinking of getting moto g to replace my xperia T but - no sd card is a minus, motorola brand is unreliable - a bit like the fiat of mobiles and the single core performance is worse. And before anyone comments - yes I know its quadcore - BUT very rarely do all the cores run at the same time! Also quote me if im wrong but there's no 1080p video recording? Im no moto g hater and im all for the specs at that price - ive said enough negative stuff so here's the plus side of the moto -
720p screen with unrivalled 329ppi in class
5mp camera with 720p video - many samsung and lg dont offer this feature at similar price
Despite being 11mm thick it doesnt feel that thick
Unmatched quadcore performance , with all cores in action benchmark just beats nexus 4 despite being not as powerful!
Adreno 305 far better than adreno 200/203 and 205 that many low android and windows have offered!
Display is bright and has deeper blacks than nexus 5
Runs Asphalt 8 glitch free due to the modern gpu!
Has android 4.3 which many phones still dont have and promised 4.4 kitkat in january
Pure android experience - meaning that more of the 1gb ram should be available!
And finally - changable back covers with different colour options - no need for a tatty hard back case just to change the look of your phone and spoil its looks!
Anon, 21 Nov 2013James - have you taken note of the prices of the two devices? The Moto G is closer to &poun... moreAnd nexus 5 16gb is not £400! Im not going to bother now as some people on this comments section just havnt got a clue about phones!
james79, 21 Nov 2013Look on the nexus 5 and moto g comparison on youtube! The nexus 5 is near enough 3x faster in ... moreNexus 5 is completly better then Moto G but the Moto G prices are best compare to any phone in the market.
Shahbaz, 21 Nov 2013@James79 if u dnt knw abt processor then dnt give ur feedback, 1st moto g have Quadcore not ... moreI never said it only had 1 core! What im saying a lot of the time only 1 of the 4 cores will be used and when that happens performance wont be that good due to low clock speed of 1.2ghz! And yes there are people seriously considering this instead of nexus 5! I feel sorry for anyone that gets one of these on a 2year contract! Wait 2 - 3 months for xperia sp price to fall if you want performance for value! All that said moto g is better than anything in its price range!
Rufusjak, 20 Nov 2013In India waste this product i think nobody not takes because...here Samsung and others company... moreThis is phone is supposed to compare to other BUDGET smartphones, not high end smartphones. And for only $179.99 this phone is amazing and is NOT a waste.
Shahbaz, 21 Nov 2013@James79 if u dnt knw abt processor then dnt give ur feedback, 1st moto g have Quadcore not ... moreQuadcore doesn't necessarily beat out dual core processors. Look at the iphone 5s for instance. Its dual core and trumps many quad core android devices. Btw I do prefer Android over iOS.
james79, 21 Nov 2013Im just warning people as I was thinking of getting one of these myself till I investigated a ... moreYou obviously haven't investigated deep enough!! The moto G was NEVER meant to be a high end device! No one EVER said it was high end! The moto G is motorola's attempt at the budget smartphone market! And looking at the specs for the Moto G compared to its price which starts at $179.99 OFF CONTRACT the Moto G is an incredible device.
Anonymous, 19 Nov 2013In the UK thats normal practice no charger Obviously you know nothing about my country its not normal practice at all Motorola only did it to cut cost so get your facts correct before making comments.
Lol people commenting its not single core
Did you even read the comment of james properly?
Guys everything is fine, but what abt battery? Is it replaceable or not? Nd service centre in India???
bhavesh, 20 Nov 2013If it had Dual SIM Slot , Memory Card slot it would be pure awesome handset its dual sim for india and dont be so sad about SDcard as SDcards slow down the performance of the phone as seen in samsung and micormax. It has nice 16 GB storage.
@James79 if u dnt knw abt processor then dnt give ur feedback,
1st moto g have Quadcore not single core , and Quadcore>dualcore...
Guys, guys, this is not meant to be a flagship phone and should not be treated as such; not to be compared to top of the line phones. This is a budget smartphone to end all budget smartphones!
Hey man... Moto G have Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 Processor not single core

The Moto G is closer to £100 than it is to £400 - the phone you're trying to compare it to.
