I have a Nexus 7 2012 which has Tegra 3 and I agree that its slow. Moto G's specs are similar to Nexus 4 and they both run stock. Moto G is more optimized for hardware as Google doesn't bother most of the time. I am pretty sure Moto G runs really well as said by a lot of people who bought it on Reddit.

Anonymous, 18 Nov 2013I don't understand why in this competitive world they are not giving an SD Card slot.get 16GB model, not like ppl store 100000 Apps anyhow , SD can slow down system to.

darshit, 17 Nov 2013i already have galaxy core and planning to buy galaxy s3 but after see this i will surely go f... moreSure. Go for Moto G rather than S3. I am an S3 user and I would suggest you not to go for S3. Samsung has already killed the phone. They're not any more reliable as they used to be when S3 was launched. Now success has gone to their head.
Very Impressive smartphone for the price.I will surely buy at least one. They are teaching other Smartphone manufacturers about, how to make a best phone at affordable price.Surely, moto g will make a sales Record, Especially in India.
Gorilla glass 3, that mean i can drop it??, what good is color backs, if you have to put in cover anyhow?

I'm in Indonesia, planning to buy an android phone, everything about this phone sounds pretty good, now the problem is where can i get it?
T3h_dude, the nexus 4 is actually running a qualcomm snapdragon s4 pro APQ8064 Quad-core 1.5GHz Krait 200 processor.
i think it will probably go for over 3mill when it launch in indonesia but, i'll get it anyway

Some of it is "stolen" when manufacturer states 1 GB = 1000 MBs instead of 1024. Next, OS itself takes some 3 GBs. Put the filesystem on that and you get 12 GBs of usable space at best. Today, that's barely enough.

It has nothing to do with multicore processing and utilization, so the question of multicores in current Android devices remains.
As for bloat, I've been using stable CM 10.1.3 which is Android 4.2.2 for a month and a half now and. Despite Project Butter which allegedly addresses smoothness specifically, some three wekks after flasing I'm experiencing lags system-wide. It's now on par with latest LG stock firmware and I'm really not a heavy user (mostly talks and messaging).
If Dalvik were smooth from the begining, they wouldn't have to replace it with ART, now, would they?
Dude, I have used a nexus and they are similar in that way. And the nexus 4 is has a snapdragon s4 pro or APQ8064 Quad-Core 1.5 GHz processor. You are correct.

Obviously you haven't used a Nexus before, the Moto G is being built with similar concept.
My Nexus 4 us also using the Snapdragon 400, but slightly higher speed and better GPU, it's blazing.
