T3h_dude, the nexus 4 is actually running a qualcomm snapdragon s4 pro APQ8064 Quad-core 1.5GHz Krait 200 processor.
i think it will probably go for over 3mill when it launch in indonesia but, i'll get it anyway

Some of it is "stolen" when manufacturer states 1 GB = 1000 MBs instead of 1024. Next, OS itself takes some 3 GBs. Put the filesystem on that and you get 12 GBs of usable space at best. Today, that's barely enough.

It has nothing to do with multicore processing and utilization, so the question of multicores in current Android devices remains.
As for bloat, I've been using stable CM 10.1.3 which is Android 4.2.2 for a month and a half now and. Despite Project Butter which allegedly addresses smoothness specifically, some three wekks after flasing I'm experiencing lags system-wide. It's now on par with latest LG stock firmware and I'm really not a heavy user (mostly talks and messaging).
If Dalvik were smooth from the begining, they wouldn't have to replace it with ART, now, would they?
Dude, I have used a nexus and they are similar in that way. And the nexus 4 is has a snapdragon s4 pro or APQ8064 Quad-Core 1.5 GHz processor. You are correct.

Obviously you haven't used a Nexus before, the Moto G is being built with similar concept.
My Nexus 4 us also using the Snapdragon 400, but slightly higher speed and better GPU, it's blazing.
Impressive midrange device! Bravomoto!
i already have galaxy core and planning to buy galaxy s3 but after see this i will surely go for this.16GB version will be good if it will priced under 15K.if they gave SD card slot then it will be gr8 but ok if it have whole 16GB user accesible not only 10 or 11GB of them.
I have the LG 4X, which is very comparable to Moto G in terms of specs and I gotta say hardware list doesn't guarantee splendid performance at all, even with AOSP software.
Current Android versions, it's very clear, aren't - no, not optimized - BUILT for multi- cores. On more CPU-intensive tasks (games, unsupported codec video) my phone runs nearly exclusively at 1.5 GHz, the speed its Tegra 3 SoC reaches only when in single-core mode (in multi-core it tops at 1.4), according to BetterBatteryStats app. Also, while my 7 years old desktop Intel quad-core can run 4K videos with no problems at all (and there was not even a single thought of 4K when Q6600 came out), last year's phone plays just the sound with a black screen.
Since I'm not gonna perform complex operations, calculations, photo and video manipulation on my phone, I wonder when and where will all that raw CPU power going to manifest itself?
The UI inevitably lags after some weeks of usage, so it's obviously a software problem.
Expandable memory would have been icing on the cake
AnonD-207181, 17 Nov 2013Is there a LED notifier in Moto G?yes there is a led notification light on top beside front camera...
AnonD-207110, 17 Nov 2013Go for Lumia 520... Better performance than this are u kidding or what????.....it is much better than 520...
AnonD-207110, 17 Nov 2013Go for Lumia 520... Better performance than this says who. u? lol
Is there a LED notifier in Moto G?
"no expandable memory" could be compensated a bit by having USB OTG...
does it support USB OTG?
Howz d audio quality and call quality ?
The new standard for cheap android devices. Instead of a crappy cheap samsung you can now have a nice motorola.
when is the release date in middle east (Iran)?
AnonD-207110, 17 Nov 2013Go for Lumia 520... Better performance than this Not at all....
I own a Lumia 520. But Moto G is way better and probably will be a little bit more costly too...
it hold 720p display with incredible ppi, good quad core snapdragon CPU,a front camera and rear camera with led flash and android which is now better than windows phone(also depends on personal preference),and moto g is highly optimized.
the only draw back I see is that lack of sd card slot.
but if your highly willing to choose a WP then wait for Lumia 525 or 625 it rumoured to come out with a 1GB ram. WP with a ram of 512mb is not good , it work smooth but there is alot app incompatibility especially games, most games require 1GB or more ram.
Go for Lumia 520... Better performance than this
