Jestin babu, 07 May 2017Hey guys have u find the led notification light under the earpiece.its works when our moto g5 ... moreI agree with you. They should have added the feature.
The reason why they haven't is that Moto g5 plus has Moto display feature. U have to pick or move the phone for that.
still i feel notification led should have been there. It's better for notification and missed calls without touching the phone.
Rooting is one option where u can enable it. But it will void warranty.
Anonymous, 07 May 2017Pls tell me guys Moto g5 plus or Lenovo P2 Who is betterWhat is ua priority???
Hey guys have u find the led notification light under the earpiece.its works when our moto g5 plus battery is completely drained. Then why Motorola take advantage of this hardware to show notifications such as calls, message's etc.

I know Nokia 6 is not a good mobile that's why I mentioned successor to Nokia 6.. and funny part is you are interested in lenovo moto and not trusting nokia. moto lost its legacy. and don't know about Nokia have to wait few more months to conclude how hmd is handling Nokia.

(I'm worried that water entering the ports such as the mic, speakers, USB port & headphone jack will damage the phone beyond repair just like what happened to my old Moto G4.
To some they might not bother too much with updates but having no monthly security updates really gets on my nerve and I really think that's important as these updates makes your phone a wee bit more secured + those odd bug fixes, etc.
Yes I do live in the UK but it is not a guarantee i will have excellent network signal everywhere I go. I'm just a bit concerned that theoretically speaking if my network signal is not so great Google Maps might struggle locating me and loading up walking directions or looking for a nearby cafe or ATM whilst i'm in Paris or say Rome during my holiday. Apps such as Google Maps and City Mapper I use on a daily basis and I highly depend on them for their functionality and purpose.

So, ATM i'm choosing between the Xperia XA1 and the Moto G5 Plus.
Average performance so far. Not exciting enough even with richer tech specs. Am facing connectivity issues. Have to turn off / on often. Not a sleek phone at all. Battery seems decent though. Have not tried camera so far. Just shifted from Lumia 730 which was quite good despite lower hardware specs.

Garry22, 07 May 2017Nope that won't happen Won't happen what? Please elaborate your answer. Would a faster Cat-6 LTE speeds (and a good network signal..if ever) would be sufficient in compensating for having no magnetometer on the G5 Plus?
My other issue is the lack of water resistance (at least once a day a phone can get wet in many ways), slow/old USB port and Moto being known for very slow updates since acquired by Lenovo.

I did not get a definitive answer previously so I would like to ask again one major concern for this phone. Everyday i use Google Maps for walking navigation and to look for nearby shops (or other places of concern) . If it is true the G5 Plus has no magnetometer does this mean that geo-location apps such as Google Maps will be slow to load and locate me unless i live/work in an area with infinite network signal which is almost impossible to experience. Pls kindly confirm & advice please.
Hello, I have received my G5+ today. Everything is running fine except for a bluish tinge when some text is scrolling up/down. When the scrolling stops, text becomes black again.
Anyone else facing this issue? Should I ignore it or ask for a replacement?
Thanks in advance.
