Been using this phone since release. Battery lasts about 4 days for the first two years, only lasts about 2 days now. I want to get a new phone, but nothing seems to live up to the Moto G7 Power, even it's successors Moto G Power 2020/2021/2022.
Has been a good reliable phone. I wouldn't buy it just for the battery life as now two years later it has significantly dropped and the charger does not connect properly (even with a brand new charger) so it is very difficult to charge now, so probably going to get new phone because of this. The camera quality is fairly good. It performs well in sun but tends to be rather dark otherwise and it struggles to adjust to different lightings. There is a glitch with video audio its is very bad and muffled. It seems to have problems with recognising SD cards. When I put the SD card in it messed up my photos order and some disappeared from gallery(but not google photos), it wouldn't work unless I constantly cleared the sd card cache but now completely not working saying the memory is full when there is loads left on 256gb memory card and can't work out how to fix this. You can't move apps to sd card to free up storage.

After two years and counting I keep rocking my g7 power with LOs 18.1
Great phone. I've been using it for two years+ now.
Not happy. I purchased two of these phones, one for myself and one for my wife and have the same problem with both phones. The adhesive holding the front and the back of the phone loses its adhesion causing the front to separate from the back of the phone, the phones are actually bowed and I don't know if it's the heat from the battery that causes it but if I didn't have rear covers on these phones they would come apart.
By far, the best phone I've ever owned.

I can no longer recommend them if they can't be made available for custom ROMS when no longer supported. Especially, with the anemic support policy of two years. That just total bulshiat. Device freedom now!
When I originally got the phone, I bought it outright. No payments. No years agreements. Now that it is no longer supported, I want to unlock the bootloader and install a custom rom. Setup ADB and went to Motorola's website for the unlock code. I get "Does not qualify for unlocking." For the above two reasons, I'm a bit miffed. Has anyone found a work-a-round for this BS?
Great phone, I bought it in 2019, battery life drops after a couple of years, this would be the only reason I'm considering a replacement. I don't use it for games or photoshoots just networking and it does a good job. Fingerprint sensor takes a few tries to make it work and the processor lags once in a while. Pros: I dropped it so many times and not a crack on the screen (one dead pixel though). Would highly recommend as best buy - in fact all Motorola Power series.

This camera does NOT film in 4K (4096x2160). It films in UHD (3840x2160). The camera itself says, "4K UHD", which makes no sense...

M'y sim card IS insert but it keep on saying
Nous service
Can any one help on resolving the problem ?

I've been using the phone for 2 years, so here I go.
Pros: (i) Great, really great battery life. I hike a lot, sometimes for days at a stretch and my phone always has the longest battery in the group. (ii) It's a sturdy phone - I've used it very roughly with lots of drops and all, but the phone just looks great. Cons: (i) Poor voice quality. I have a soft voice and coupled with this phone, I struggle to be heard (ii) It has a decent, but not a great camera.

Bought it late 2019, 2 years later i feel qualified to give it a review.
Pros:
- Battery life is the obvious advantage here, even with heavy usage G7 Power held its own for an average of 12 hours screen usage and over a day total usage.
- Storage is always enough, no complaints.
- Not the best in terms of performance, but for the price it gives what's expected.
- Camera is actually better than expected
- Moto actions are fun and useful
Cons:
- Speaker volume gets lower because of dust accumulating
- Problems with signal reception, cellular signal cuts off completely sometimes for no reason.
- Flashlight gets too hot, noticed this after one year.
- Fingerprint sensor stopped working 2 years in, although i suspect this being a hardware issue because of a couple of falls.
- Biggest problem is battery life dropping by ~15% after 2 years, especially after android 10 update, which is a massive issue considering this is the selling point.
All in all, i believe it is worth the price, even though the longevity should certainly be higher. (8.5/10)
Brilliant phone.bought it in late 2019 and it’s been reliable and does everything I need. It’s survived rain and being dropped. When you add in it’s good value highly recommended
Nice phone, except my volume dropped to nearly zero right after the warranty expired. Comcast/Xfinity just blew me off. Second time one of "their" phones disappointed me.
I have owned this phone over a year. The main reason I purchased this phone over other choices was #1 BATTERY LIFE! I am a light to moderate cell user and I get an average of 3 days on a charge and as much as 6 days on a charge. My family with other phones get less than a day. Its a solid heavy ( large battery makes it heavy ) but I like a heavy phone and it holds up to drops and my job site dirty work. The built in memory of 32 mb is small and filling up fast, I like Moto versions of Android as it has little to no bloatware. The camera does okay in bright light but most photo situations do not have bright light. In my case I traded battery life for camera. After using this phone a year I like the phone but I need a better camera. I do not game and not a power user so the ram and processing power is okay for my needs but I wish someone would make a phone with a flagship grade camera but would give me the battery life of this phone! Flagship phones still will not give me the battery life of this phone so I can't upgrade as I will not chase a charger. With this Moto g7 Power I find I don't need to own car chargers and power banks like my family and friends do as I never have a low battery, I just charge it every few days. The battery alone is reason to buy this phone, the camera alone is a reason not to buy this phone. Its truly a tradeoff and choice of what your needs are.
Anonymous, 18 Aug 2021Agree i remember the battery life actually being great back in 2019 and throughout early 2020 ... moreContinued** if you have the option to upgrade to Android 10 go for it it's a very cool update that adds many features that make the experience on this device so much better. I don't know if the battery life issue is just for certain people but it's worth it.
