Got Android 10 update in India.
The process took only around 30 minutes (size of update around 1.1GB)
No need to backup,All the data preserved during the process-No complaints.
But the benefits of over pie is marginal,
Slightly customisable interface,Better gesture navigation,Dark mode(still isn't perfect),
Minor notification improvements,Full screen option to hide notch for each applications.... That's it.
Some animations are still haunting,even remove animations option is switched ON. Perfomance, Battery life is unaffected (only with proper settings, especially location and wifi settings)
Privacy settings are available (Nothing new, but easily accessible)
In brief,Go for it. But don't expect anything overmuch. Just a good update with some imperfections... That's all.

Gestures and all, I'll give it by the end of this wk and if it goes like it does now, I'll reset to factory settings.

I installed Android10 update 4 days ago, when I was notified :)
Pro:
-better memory management (system with no apps started uses aroud 1gb Ram, compared to 1.3gb Ram on Android9)
-dark mode everywhere, of course
-more customizable themes out of the box (no third party apps needed)
Cons:
-charging time is higher with ~15min
-it looks unfinished (I don't know how to explain it)
-time and weather widget doesn't show battery percentage anymore
Same:
-battery life
-camera apps
-gps reception
Hope this is usefull for all off you using the phone.

Yep, got it today too on Europe, it's Android 10 on G7 Power Dual-SIM :)
Haven't installed it yet, will adopt an wait and see approach

This should have been made with a plastic screen then it would have been perfect but the glass screen sucks and is WAY too easy to break. Most people don't have the money to be replacing screens every 5 seconds. Gonna probably get a Motorola Moto Z2 Force but the problem is the battery life isn't very good. As for the moto g7 power I would rate it a 5 of 10. Bring back plastic displays O__O

The Moto G7 Power bluetooth is junk. It won't connect to my Fitbit nor my JBL earbuds. I assume it won't connect to a lot of other things. I had to keep my old Galaxy J3 just to be able to sync and connect to my Fitbit Versa 2.

I've had a number of smartphones over the years (I'm 62) In my opinion this is the best phone I've ever had. My work phone is an iPhone 6s and this G7 blows it away. This phone is less than $200 there is no way I'd buy an iPhone.

Btw, because of google decision, all newer android phones must use USB-C cable, not the old USB cable. Not all USB C can be used to transfer files, certain cables can only charge the phone. Anyone should check any USB-C cable before purchasing the cable if it can be used for file transfer or only for charging. "Cheap" USB-C cable usually can only be used for charging.

You can check notification of your phone after you connect USB cable between your phone and your computer. and change the option from 'No data transfer" to "File Transfer". The default setting is "No data transfer". If you want, you can change the default setting by enabling "Developer options" in the Settings if you haven't enabled it in the Settings. Go to Settings > System > About Phone > Build number. Tap Build number several times until it says something like you are now a developer. Then go back to System, then there will be Developer options menu. Find "Default USB configuration", change the option such as "File Transfer" if you want, or even USB tethering if you want your computer to get internet access from your phone.

great budget phone.... battery life is superb....gaming not a problem at all....
wish motorola will made something high end feature on this phone....

I love mine so much I broke mine by accident then went out and bought another one I love the battery life I couldn't go back to a small battery so with that said I give it a a 4 out of 5 without flinching

The CONNECTIVITY is very BAD !! I had before a Huawei and i could connect the phone with windows just by using plug&play and make any file transfer with Windows Explorer. With Motorola G7 Power this is IMPOSSIBLE !! I can connect the phone and laptop trough the microsoft account only !!???! Not all motorola cables are able to transfer files some of them can only charge...What kind of bullshit is that ??? I DO NOT WANT TO SHARE ANYTHING IN INTERNET WITH ANY ONE while i am transferring files between MY laptop and MY smartphone.

Anyone notice different versions of this phone with glass back as opposed to the plastic back? A previous one I had (I bought it in Germany) had a plastic back, which eased my mind of not worrying about damage. I bought another one (64gb/4gb) off of amazon and although glass is nice, but it just leaves room for cracking T_T

I have owned this phone for 3 months, and I am overjoyed with it. Finally, battery worries are a thing of the past, and the video camera is really good. You can spend a lot more for a phone, but you can't get a whole lot more.

Sadly my girlfriend's Samsung A50? cannot use google camera because of Samsung Exynos processor ... Remember to only buy android phone with Snapdragon processor. This Moto G7 Power is still good enough for a lot of people in my opinion. Maximise what you have, not just complain without finding solutions. I have used this phone for almost 1 year, so far I am fine with this phone. It usually lasts 2 days for me, great battery. Moto's phones are almost pure android. I have google recorder app installed without problem in use. Some other brands have problem/bug with google recorder app. Call recorder app is still good with this phone (android 9). I am not sure about android 10 ...

Photo quality with gcam is much better than stock camera. You can try newer google camera 7.3.020 from many other modders. Check celsoazevedo (google it) for a huge list of gcam from a lot of modders. I suggest to use newer gcam 7.3.020 from PitbulL, Parrot043, and onFire for example (they have JPG quality option up to 100%). I have also tried gcam from other modders like cstark, BSG, Arnova8G2, wyroczen, the_dise, etc. but they compress the JPG quality (not up to 100%) as far as I know. Maximise what you have, not just complain without finding solutions. If no / less sound from your phone's speaker (sadly only front speaker), try to hit your phone a little bit to the wall or something. It works for me. I read somewhere about this previously. Maybe the placement of the speaker inside the phone is not strong enough. So far I am fine with this phone. If no sound when there is a phone call from whatsapp, place your phone screen position on top if on the table. If the phone is in your pocket, put it vertically just like the way you read from the phone, not upside down. I don't know why, maybe from Moto Actions (Flip for DND or Pick up to silence). I disable them. Again, maximise what you have, not just complain without finding solutions.

Which motorola has a gcam port? And why is the G8 so bad?...according to reviews. I'm about to buy one of these just trying to figure most reliable, battery life, easy to use. Have a Motorola Z force now and only prob is battery dies in a few hours... old.
