it says up there that its upgradeable to Android 5.0 Lollipop so it will not remain at 4.4 KitKat.
Thakkar, 30 Apr 2015Hello everyone ......I bought moto g 2nd gen before 2 days and its awesome. I just want to ask... moreNO probs with lollipop at all you just remember to do a factory reset after updation. If you dont do it definitely you may face some issues. But if a factory reset is done, You are sure to have no issues.
Refi, 29 Apr 2015Guys pls help this phone is good&bad plsss or micromax yu yrekaawsme phne wid featrs bt pblm is tht lolipop update s badly afct the phne....
I used Moto G1 before and let me tell you that the phone never died on me ever, i am using Moto G2 now and apart from the battery, everything is running fine, screen is crystal and bright, no lag whatsoever but the battery is drowning.
Sleep on it on 30% and wakes up to switched off phone, there is not even a low battery warning(at 20% or 15%), screen won't go into power saving mode at below 10% which happens in samsung phones, a better feature. Takes a good 3 hrs to completely charge(including trickle) so frustrated using the larger phone on same 20,70 Mah battery (Moto G1)
Thakkar, 30 Apr 2015Hello everyone ......I bought moto g 2nd gen before 2 days and its awesome. I just want to ask... moreit's better that you use the OS which came pre-installed as we all know that the Lollipop os or Android L is still under development so wait till the final release 5.1.(something is released)
5.1 still has a few bugs

hanish , 28 Apr 2015heyy guys I wanna buy moto g2 how's this phone... but read their some people facing charging i... morebro dont just believe whatever people say. Think on your own, 1st gen moto g was one of the best selling phones in the world and this one is a upgrade to older one. However room for improvement was very less but still motorola has tried.
first of all its a budget phone but motorola has kept its quality and features just like a premium device. In build quality and feature list and performance you will never be dissapointed but .... accessories that are provided with the handset are just very basic. Let it be charger, earphones, No data cable.
So the charger provided with the set is not good. It heats up and also takes 3 hours to charge the device completely. And original charger of motorola is very costly (not just charger their every accessory is quite costly as they maintain their standards of being an American Brand).
If you want a premium device at a very reasonable price, Go for it without thinking twice but dont expect too much from accessories that are provided with phone. Rather than that customize your phone in your own way by additionally buying different colored back covers, better and good looking earphones, and a normal charger.
You will surely surprised by such a smooth performance at this price.
in fact if any of you guys want to know best customisation options to make your device stand out in front of all of your friends - I can help by suggesting some of the best accesories. you can mail me at -
Anonymous, 29 Apr 2015Guys pls sugges me wich one is better to buy i think grand2....motog2......and grand prime pls... moreI've used 3 of them-
prime (of a friend)
and I'll give a very honest comparison of the three being unbiased of the companies.
Three of them are good but I'll say each of them have +ves and negatives over one another.
Moto g is a very good performer. No lags at all, pulls everything very smooth. Also feature list is good, screen is good (294 ppi) So I personally like it the best just because of performance and stock version of android which is very quick. But it also has its drawbacks like - battery is average, At low signal areas it loses all the signal. Feature list is good like - OTG support, Gaming pad support, Gyroscope, HD screen, Very quick on updates (presently running lollipop) but somewhere we have to compromise and its battery. Its not actually bad and is obviously better than indo chinese brands like - micromax, lava and even better than most phones of HTC. But If battery is major priority then prime is better in this case. However Prime lacks a no. of features and one which is a HD screen. Less pixel count, low resolution screen means more is the battery life.
Grand 2 is good enough but high end gaming shows frame drops. Phone has a good camera (somewhat better than moto g), although disappointment is that it does not supports pen drive. Screen is better than Prime (280 ppi against 220 ppi of prime). Pixels are not visible in normal usage but frame drops in high end games are very frequent. Also the device is quite old. Lucky are those people who bought it in right time and enjoyed it but I seriously feel that now there are better phones available at same price, however Grand 2 still has so much to fight but lack of a few features make me think that soon samsung will be looking to launch a newer version of this device. So to stick with older one now wont be a very good idea. Also if someone wants most of the features which are missed in prime and at the same time don't want to shift from samsung to any other brand then still grand 2 is a better option.
Prime has very good battery life but on acc. of lack of a no. of features. Check this shortcoming list- If anyone is OK with all these missing features then this phone is surprisingly good.
No HD Screen (220 ppi, disappointing as per the price)
No OTG support (which means no pen drive can be connected)
No ambient light sensor (Not a big issue)
No gyroscope (hardly use this feature)
No keypad lights (shows price cut)
Very low quality speaker (disappointing)
Very late updates
But the goods are -
A very superior front camera as compared with moto g.
Better battery life.
Hope this helps.
queries are welcomed.
funny guy. my phone charges in 90 mins and i am using a charger of 1.5 mA which is perfectly supported by moto g. Also the battery drain prob is faced by guys who are unaware of the fact that some unwanted apps can be disabled as well as background data can be turned off. If you do so phone easily takes the whole day to discharge which is good enough.
And if you think this way lemme know your choice against moto g. let us all see which phone is better than this one at this price.?
Guys pls sugges me wich one is better to buy i think grand2....motog2......and grand prime pls suggest me guys and give u r opinion of three of them pls pls pls
