Awesome phone and great specs for 12999. Camera is really good and def way beyond expectations. One of the best in Moto series. Speed is good and has a good video clarity. Top of it has a cool look with mat finish. Black is good than white in style quotient. Must buy...!!!

after a long time back on searching a good phone with a less con, after all my comparison i had done, i came on result that this phone is best in my budget and in all aspects what i have measure , coming to heating problem moto has less heating problem as i experienced in gen 2 and now comapring to customers review about asus zenfone 2 they hving bug heating problem, and talking about lenovo it is the company on which i rely for my lappie not good in smartphones according to me and only good warrior remains is gen 3 moto g which is the best phone ever in this price range with the mind blowing feature, after a successfull and good replies about gen2 moto has launched that motog gen 3 which will gonna be a grand success for themm after all my research i also purchased 2 gen3 smartphones and i love them .

to be honest only thing you have to compromise with their design only which is same as older phones overall

                                  9/10

every penny worth that phone uz i am also one of them, go for it guys it is a very reliable phone.

Comparing phones is good when considering which phone to buy but that doesn't give anyone the right to crisize anyone else's choices. I've used a moto g 2nd gen and I'm more than satisfied with it - 1 and a half day of battery backup on regular use (inc. listening to music, playing simple games and watching videos), no heating problems, not much of the RAM is consumed.

Considering that motorola let their moto series have a pure android experience and they put their focus primarily on the performance and hardware is an excellent approach! And look at the development and growth of the series from moto g (1st gen) through to moto g (3rd gen) - all launching at the same launch price.

As for Samsung - indeed J5 and J7 have brilliant specs but not until we know their exact performance reviews after a month of purchase will we know the exact durability of the phone. Some Samsung phones turn out to be wonderful whereas I have had a few Samsung devices that gave me a lot of problems with the battery.

Specs of all phones look excellent on paper. I mean consider Asus Zenphone 2. I would say it beats moto g AND Samsung Galaxy J7 big time when it comes to specs but the reviews after actual consumption state otherwise - most people are having problems with the camera, heating, battery (even though it is 3000 mAh).

Of cores and Moto E 1st(having dual core) and 2nd gen(having Quardcore) proves itself in real world of performance. And no one will denie about Motorola's Moto G performance it performance much much better than the sily Samsung smartphones.Smartphone comprises hardware as well as software and Motorola know very well how to run software smoothly in required set of hardware and to give better usser experience as a result.
