The phone is available in 1/8 and 2/16GB variants. Argos are selling the 1/8 for 109 quid right now but not the 2/16
I Have been using this phone for a year. Dollar for dollar it is a very good phone. It is not a $700.00 phone so comparing it to one is unfair. Wifi works very well and using the Internet is acceptable but a bit slow. It takes great picturers, better than my iPad . The biggest issue I gave seen is closing out of the camera is slow. If you need a decent phone for a great price this one works well.
AnonD-649776, 03 Mar 2017Umm, the phone you're bashing has 2gb ram. Clearly you never owned the phone.Phone comes in 2 variants, 8GB/1GB and 16GB/2GB. I also own the 1GB and it was crap when it was new. Unfortunately the (good) 2GB variant was much harder to find at the time...

Tufail, 19 Feb 2017Facing any problem after upgrade to 6.0 marshmallow? No 6.0 update related problems, but this phone has a huge issue: the voice audio protocol is fubar, making your outgoing voice audio strongly choppy. Many threads about it are referenced through google, but they offer no simple effective fix. I only found an extremely complicated fix going through rooting the phone an applying much, much more complicated and delicate steps.

If you don't have the Tuner, press and hold on the gear icon in your Quick Settings panel until you feel a vibrate, then let go.
Bad. Very bad. Not only was it 8 months old before OS upgrades stopped, but it has no gyroscope or compass, which are essential sensors. I had the 8GB model for 3 months, and severely disappointed with the 1GB of RAM, I traded for a Nexus 5X after only 3 months. I couldn't keep any apps in multitasking with Xposed enabled, and without I barely got one active, one background.
Get this phone if you're looking for something cheap and you're not a power user... Otherwise, look elsewhere.
Dannie, 27 Jan 2017Using this phone since launch, the last update we get is the october security patch (no nougat)... moreYou say remember to get the latest device and keep it updated, but wouldn't that mean having to buy a new phone every year? Expensive much. Two years isn't that old, I kept my Moto g first gen for 3 years before upgrading
I have had this phone for 18 months and had no problems with it, updated to the latest OS. Just wish I had purchased it with more memory, but when you upgrade it to 6.0 you have the option of having adopted memory which will expand the memory to the size of the memory card you put in it. Overall great phone, good pictures for the money. Just purchased a Moto g4+ for my wife.
But two of them one of them had a complete system failure you just send it back to Motorola and they will flash a new operating system and Will Repair the failure second phone is starting to have similar issues
I had this phone for 4 months the phone doesn't ring or vibrate alRm stopped working the volumes are turned up all the way and still don't work.

That said, Nougat sucks. I rolled my G3 back to CM12 (equivalent to Lollipop 5.1.1), which has better battery life and leaves more space on the already-small internal storage.
If you're not interested in a specific 7.0 feature, is it really an upgrade? I say no. Neither was 6.0, IMO.

The theoretical lifespan for a Micro USB plug on *any* device is only 500 insertions (!), so if you plug it in 5 times a day, this could also be your problem.
Be nicer to your phone!

Of course, don't do this until you save the data on the card first!
Hope this helps. Cheers.
