The phone also supports OTG pen drives etc, so you may as well connect them and use if you require extra storage for heavy files such as movies, music.

When had this started? have you installed any other "dialing app"? Have you tried powercycle your phone (turn off/on) and check out if it stops dialing?
You might also would like yo verify if the phone is not dialing due to involuntary contact inside your pocket.

right now my moto G is having 4.4.2 kitkat, it was told that the 4.4.3 update will be available soon, while its already available in north america and other countries it is not in middle east!
