USB connection by default is battery charged. If you want to connect to your computer you have to enter developer options and initiate the change their in order for your cell phone to communicate with your computer . Go to settings, about phone, and tap build number several times to enter developer options. You can then make the change.. under marshmallow the phone will no longer perform that function automatically. Just did it and it works fine . Good luck
