Introduction and specs

The Motorola Moto G Power (2025) is a descendant of a budget-friendly lineup that has remained competitive in the US market for years. Then again, choice is very limited in the US, so the Moto G Power (2025) doesn't have a hard time finding its place.

This year's Moto G Power builds upon its predecessor by offering a slightly bigger display and more durable design, making it an even better all-rounder than before. Motorola didn't raise the pricing either.

Motorola Moto G Power (2025) specs at a glance:

  • Body: 166.6x77.1x8.7mm, 208g; Glass front (Gorilla Glass 5), silicone polymer (eco leather) back, plastic frame; IP68/IP69 dust tight and water resistant (high-pressure water jets; immersible up to 1.5m for 30 min), MIL-STD-810H compliant.
  • Display: 6.80" IPS LCD, 120Hz, 1080x2388px resolution, 19.9:9 aspect ratio, 385ppi.
  • Chipset: Mediatek Dimensity 6300 (6 nm): Octa-core (2x2.4 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6x2.0 GHz Cortex-A55); Mali-G57 MC2.
  • Memory: 128GB 8GB RAM; microSDXC (dedicated slot).
  • OS/Software: Android 15.
  • Rear camera: Wide (main): 50 MP, f/1.8, 0.61µm, PDAF, OIS; Ultra wide angle: 8 MP, f/2.2, 119˚, 1.12µm, AF.
  • Front camera: 16 MP, f/2.4, (wide), 1.0µm.
  • Video capture: Rear camera: 1080p@30fps; Front camera: 1080p@30fps.
  • Battery: 5000mAh; 30W wired, 15W wireless.
  • Connectivity: 5G; eSIM; Wi-Fi 5; BT; NFC; FM radio; 3.5mm jack.
  • Misc: Fingerprint reader (side-mounted); stereo speakers (with Dolby Atmos).

The Moto G Power is now running on a new Dimensity 6300 SoC and paired with a slightly bigger 6.8-inch display, protected by Gorilla Glass 5 this time around. The back retains the 50MP main camera and 8MP ultrawide camera with autofocus. Kudos for including that feature.

We are also met by a familiar 5,000 mAh battery, supporting up to 30W wired and even 15W wireless charging.

All that hardware is protected by an IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD-810H compliant chassis, a huge step forward from last year's "water-repellent" design.

Let's see how the device meets our expectations.

Unboxing the Motorola Moto G Power (2025)

The handset comes in a modest retail box containing only the usual user manuals and a USB-C to USB-C cable for charging and data transfer. No charger is included in the box, so you must buy one separately.

Look for one that supports at least 30W using the Power Delivery protocol.

If I remember correctly, the 2024 Power display is pretty dim, around 500 nits which is half of the 2025 version. But otherwise yeah, that one looks like a better offer.
