It's great until it isn't. Brand new, I've had it for about a month tops. It's suffered no damage, no viruses, plenty of storage space left, nothing should be wrong...
Yet it consistently craps out on me. I can't go a single day at this point without having a technical issue, i regret spending money on this sorry excuse for a smartphone - and I've only ever had cheaper, smaller, dinkier phones. I am used to cheap phones that work slow, so this thing seemed to work like a dream for the first week. This review is not coming from someone who is used to having $800+ phones.
Now it brings me nothing but misery, whether it's my keyboard ceasing to function in the middle of typing until I restart the phone (upon which it restarts itself endlessly), the phone repeatedly and constantly restarting even in safe mode of it's own volition to the point where it sometimes becomes unusable for over an hour, calls randomly dropping or the person on the other end being unable to hear you out of the blue in the middle of a conversation, being unable to even open apps such as google chrome even if they're fully updated and supposedly have nothing wrong with them, etc.
If you are considering getting this device, DO NOT. It looks cool, sounds cool - but it's not. I'm literally at my wit's end. I can't even use it at this point. It's ridiculous.

This is the worst android phone I have ever owned - and I have owned phones since 2011. Every single one of my previous phones beats this phone hands-down in terms of responsiveness and operation. Long lags, stutters, pauses, total unresponsiveness for several seconds at a time. If you gift this phone to your worst enemy, you will be accused of crimes against humanity. Last moto phone I ever buy

This the worst phone ever first time ever I wanted to throw money in the garbage! This phone will destroy your business and relationships because of the cheap way it was constructed! The camera good one day bad the next, it won't even ring! Sometime it won't even let you know you had a call Motorola is forever dead! Company need to close and give it up they're wasting peoples money and time! Cheap Technology

3rd moto phone for me. Moto Quality has fallen a lot compared to past. Apart from call drops, frequent app failures, slowness, need to restart too often. And realizing that Android update not available are owning way less than a year. It is cheap, cost-wise; yet no longer makes sense in term of value. Probably will be the last Moto for me.

I have had nothing but issues with this phone. I have not been able to set up my voice mail even with the assistance of "experts". This phone is NOT user friendly. The updates are useless and only make the phone more difficult to use and confusing. This is the most regrettable purchase I have ever made.

Great phone at a great price!
I read many, but not all, of the negative reviews. Most of the complaints are carrier, lock phone, and crapware issues. I bought an unlocked phone with no ISP crapware and signed up for Mint Mobile. No problems whatsoever except for me catching up with Android 11 features.

Moto not goid, 30 Oct 2021Moto g stylus ...seemed ok out of tge box .. goes fownhill from there .. its flakey flipoant a... moreTotally agree with others who have complained ...i hv this moto g pro stylus and it was decent at first ..but has degraded itself each week ..reviews praise it ..sadly thats the best part of the phone ..so either i bought a flawed phone or motorola has paid paid a lot of reviewers to lie ...im thoroughly disgusted .. ive had the razr flip ..loved it ..ive had the nxt version of razr ..was good ..and this one ..i would like to pitch at the heads of the seller and all the heads at motorola involved in bringing this frankenstein to life

Everytime I try to make a call it usually don't work. My messages come a day late there's a lot that don't even come through. I being hacked I pay the extra to see all outgoing calls it always says 123 as the number with military time. Someone has Firebase Api something on here I factory reset it over 200 times but it does not help or change anything and when I call for help no one can ever fix my problems horrible service The only thing that makes them suck is they don't even care.

The Moto g stylus 2021 phone sucks It stopped working in 2 weeks Target wouldnt take it back with a recipt so i paid $300. for a phone that wont factory reset. Its tied to a gmail that i cant get into hacked and the customer servive is nothing

Piece of junk shud say it all..Only 8 months old.Texts may take 11 hrs.to come through..My callers cant hear me though I sit right in front of my picture window.I even go outside in the middle of my yard to talk .....no better...Im tired of people asking me where I was last night when I was home and the phone is on the arm of my recliner..When I finish a call the phone goes to camera though I never touched any button or squeezed the perimeter of the case.I dont understand these problems as I had a Motorola flip phone back in the day and it was superb.........

Moto g stylus ...seemed ok out of tge box .. goes fownhill from there .. its flakey flipoant and tge keyboard is obnoxiius . 3 out 10 ..motorola made some cool stuff like tge v3 i had but this stylus just sux tge bag

i dont understand what all the negative comments did to mess up their phones mine has had no issues for a year straight now.

I have this phone about a year now. Don't do it. It keeps dropping calls. NO ONE can hear me, I must use bluetooth devices in order to talk on a call. The apps keep freezing, I miss notifications, the sound doesnt always sync up. Its a completely useless phone. I really wanted this to be a decent phone. But I am very disappointed. I just ordered a new phone, something hopefully that will be much more reliable. I have lost count how many times this phone has failed during simple things like just using google maps. With nothing else running. It freezes and now I'm missing turns! I cannot stress enough to stay away from this phone! Oh and now you can't even use it as a trade in!?!?

I got this phone for free a year ago and I absolutely hate it! my calls drop, it says no internet connection even though I have all my bars and WIFI. and the camera isn't as good as I hoped it would be.
The good thing about this phone though is that when I listen to music at night the speaker is amazing I lay the phone on my chest and its like I have surround sound. probably the only pro of this phone.

I have never disliked a phone more than this Moto G stylus. My family bought 3 and none of us like it. I'm going to reactivate my Galaxy pH. Even though it is a few years old it works better than this. Moto needs to refund everyone for these phones. I will never by Moto again.

I would honestly say I love this phone. It is a good phone for how cheap it is. I had a $350. phone before and this phone works better than it did. Sure there are a few issues, but all in all I'm happy with it. One issue I have had is when I put the phone on speaker in a phone call and the switch back to regular sound you cannot hear anything on the phone. You either go back on speaker or hang up and try your call again. Another issue is the phone can lag a little when drawing or writing on the screen with the stylus. If you can look past those two things it is a great phone.

Pure trash........ A lot of lagging, constantly having to touch the screen multiple times to get a response, internet completely shutting down even with connection and having to reboot it to get reconnected. Text and call notifications shutting off on it's own..... Etc. DON'T BUY THIS GARBAGE!!!

Overall the phone is decent, but very disappointing when your phone gets hung up sending photos when you have full bars or when it continually had problems connecting to previously connected Bluetooth devices. That's pretty pathetic and pretty much rings what works otherwise be a great phone for the money. It lacks a little in the photo world, but is suitable. This is my second Moto G phone, but did to the aforementioned things I'll likely be going back to a Galaxy.
