I got a free Moto G Stylus when I re-signed with boost and is is a great phone
I like being able to disable automatic updates.
(Ever since I have had updates disable or delete certain programs such as RealPlayer, Microsoft office, and others, I realized nothing is "free" and updates are not for our benefit, but theirs. Therefore I haven't updated my computers or phone in years and never had problems since)
The 4000mAh battery drains fast, but that could be due to lots of apps.
Battery drain got better when I removed the half full128gb micro SD card
I like Motorola androids best and will probably get the G Power next since I never use the stylus
The area the stylus uses reduces battery size by 1000mAh so I carry an external 7400mAh battery pack just in case
Moto G Power have a 5000 mAh battery
Never trust eBay 1,000,000mAh batteries, I bought one and it's really 7400mAh
Had the phone for 6 months. Loved it, except for lack of NFC. I got over it. But over time, it would have a hard time charging. I tried different cables, it always slowly charged. Then any cable I used would not stay in the port. It would always pop off. Had to literally push the charging cable in and hold it for it to charge. Who has time for that? I almost upgraded to the 5G model, but didn't want to risk the same thing possibly happening if it was a design flaw, and would have wasted money.
I bought this phone to replace a Samsung S10 that broke on vacation, and I needed something to get connected again until I figured out what to do. It was actually a really good phone. Software was clean and fast, the stylus was OK, but what I expect from Motorola or LG. The camera was OK, not bad, but coming from a Samsung had a lot to be desired.
The problem: two months after I bought the phone (that lived it's entire life in a supcase and was not dropped or abused) it cut off mid call and became unresponsive. I could connect it to the Bluetooth in my car and receive a call but it would cut out after three seconds. Sent it back to Warranty with Motorola and they denied the claim. In fact, they were the least helpful warranty or RMA department I've dealt with in the last 20 years. I will NEVER buy another Motorola device. If I paid $100 for it I would walk away and not worry about it. But at half the cost of a Samsung S20 FE. That's pitiful. Be warned if you get hardware with issues from the factory that Motorola WILL NOT help you. Literally throwing money out the window.
I've had Motorola's since the bag phone days. Sad to see a company that once upon a time make a good product to stoop to the level they are now.
I have had several models of Motorola phones over the years starting with the very first razor some I can't remember but my favorites were the Droid turbo 2 and the G power I'm still getting familiar with the stylus but I can't complain about anything so far and I will continue to be a loyal customer to my favorite brand
I've had the moto g stylus 2021 since September, and I don't have any problems, it works fantastic in all honesty, maybe those that've had problems just bought a badly manufactured phone or something. mines is through straight talk, which I read the reviews on it, was hesitant about buying it. but I needed a new phone, I wanted a bigger display. so I went to Walmart and bought one. and to be quite frank, I love this phone, not disappointed with it yet.
170mm + 4000Mah + 213gr + 3years old chipset (actually is sd675)
such a DISASTER
Really Big Fail
I wasn't very impressed with the Stylus model this year. Compared to previous years, it doesn't feel like Motorola did much to improve the phone over last year's model. That coupled with a clunkier feel to the UI this year left me feeling rather disappointed. It was nice to get updated to Android 11 before the Moto One 5G Ace. The new OS felt somewhat slow, though, and it made playing around in it a bit tedious. If I had to guess, I'd say it's because the phone lacks the resources to run smoothly with all of Android 11's bells and whistles activated.
I will say, though, the stylus and Motorola's suite of dedicated apps for it are a fun gimmick. It's even quite useful if you're prone to forgetting things like me. It's still not a smart stylus, however. So, the stylus really doesn't serve as more than a quick, fine tipped input device. It's more or less a more precise extension of your finger.
I'd give this phone 2.5 out of 5 stars. It's essentially a free phone when you switch with most carriers. So, don't expect too much.
The Moto G Stylus 2021 phone stopped working after 2 weeks. It wont let me factory data reset it. Took back to Target with recipt and they wouldnt take it back. There not a real person to talk to or information on how to mail it back to the company because why do i want a phone that wont work highly dissapointed.
every so often the 2021 moto G stylus I have rings very loudly , not sure how to silence it, very annoying
Worst phone I ever owned, screen doesn't respond to fingers or stylus, i can't even play 1 game without the screen not responding, have an old 4 year old phone, 200 dollars cheaper and still plays all my games, first moto phone....moto sucks....
Anonymous, 08 Aug 2021you do know they are NOT talking about the Lg stylo 6??? so you reply is muteYeah I'm well aware. Different OEM, Plus I had the Stylo 6. FYI There's alot of phones with digital styluses built-in starting with Note.
I have this phone for a few months now.....
My only problem with it is not being able to have a working HotSpot..
All other devices will find the hotspot however no internet.
It has to be a device issue since sim card will work in other phones with hotspot working without any issues...
Using external programs constantly disconnects, I haven't found a good program yet...
If anyone has figured out a fix, please let me know.

The LG is so screechy and unbalanced it's ear piercing at high volume.

I owned a few Motorola phones in the past because of the price and impressive list of options that higher end phones don't offer or u must pay Xtra for like that128gb internal storage good over all build quality just a serious contender for those want to be unique but not have 2hat the whole world has
GIO , 01 Mar 2021Overpriced. LG refreshed the STYLO 6 as a global version K71 that you can get cheaper than the... morethe screen quality difference is minuscule and they are around the same price of phone with the stylus beating out the stylo in processor, memory, and camera quality with the same size screen this phone is much better than the stylo 6 and as it stands the stylo 7 may never be released. its a wonderful device which I have for myself and would recommend to others.
Anonymous, 04 Apr 2021With more contactless payments beimg made since pandemic a 2021 I agree a phone without NFC is... moreI'm a sales rep for boost mobile who bought this phone for myself, with bank cards themselves being tap capable I find it pointless for my phone to be able to tap pay as well. That being said i do not have a tap pay card and i have used tap pay on previous devices. it does not seem an inconvenience as if i wanted it to truly be contactless there are many delivery options out there for a vast number of needs. the phone itself is very powerful and runs greats and with the large storage capacity i can continue to fill it wait videos and apps and never feel like my device performance suffers because of it.The comment about the pens being similar, the one depicted in the photo is the white variant of the pen for the white colored device the pen for the other versions look a bit different though theirs only so unique you can make a stylus pen that goes inside you phone without making it look ugly or bulky (as i feel many of the note sylus pens are though they come with cool features) i have held and used many stylo 6 and stylus pens and the stylus feels way nicer and is less likely to fall out of the phone. I made the switch from the LG stylo 5 (my favorite phone i have ever owned) to the g stylus 2021 and I feel it was a very good decision. it more than meets my needs and i suggest it to anyone who wants a high quality phone that is less than 500 dollars.
